Ava was nearly moved to tears by Victoria's decisive action. She was like a sudden, sweet, and timely rain, arriving unexpectedly. This move was even more satisfying than slapping Augustus in the face.
As expected, Augustus was rendered speechless by this timely intervention. He stared down at the divorce agreement, unable to utter a single word. His face was clouded with gloom, darker than a June thunderstorm.
Ava smiled at Liam, her expression conveying: "Mom really came through!"
Liam curled his lips into a slight smile and wrote in her palm: "We planned this."
Ava understood. So, this mother and son duo had anticipated Augustus's move and had prepared a countermeasure in advance.
