After several minutes of scouting the vicinity, Gio felt like he had a better understanding of his circumstances.
'There actually aren't many monsters around here. With how much sound they're making, I thought they'd be everywhere, but that's not the case at all.'
Instead, with some investigation, he found that the monsters he was hearing were far below him on the mountain.
Their cries and howls echoed off of its structure, making them seem closer than they truly were. However, it was undeniable that no matter how much Gio ran around on the cliff where he spawned, he found nothing.
'That can only mean one thing.'
Monsters at the highest level were intelligent, but it took time for them to develop intelligence. The monsters that existed in these kinds of Riftworlds were mostly the unintelligent kind, making their patterns more easily understandable.
