Chapter 60 - A Message from Kaka

Clement might seem like a small figure in Chicago, but behind the scenes, he was a powerhouse—more like a secret godfather in politics.

Chicago was his turf. Of course, things wouldn't be played fairly.

"But don't worry," Nathaniel said, his voice calm yet firm. "We have just the right amount of... 'other' things we need to fight this case head-on."

It was meant to reassure her, but the vagueness only deepened Zara's unease.

She leaned back in the chair, clutching the edge of the table. "What does my missing this trial mean?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Nathaniel slid two charts across the table toward her. As she examined them, he explained, "These are the results from Clement's election campaign—before and an hour after the first trial."

"Not much change," Zara noted, scanning the data.

"The numbers started dropping right after the broadcast went viral. But an hour later, things have gone stagnant."
