She gently reached for his hand. "You're my husband. That's who you are, and that will never change."
Edmund's expression softened as soon as he heard her words. For once, he didn't argue back or try to convince Primrose that he really was a monster.
He simply smiled faintly, but even that was enough to melt her heart. "Thank you," he murmured. "Thank you for trying to understand me."
Primrose blinked, her eyes lingering on his smile longer than she meant to. "Honestly, I really want to kiss you again," she said softly, "but … there are too many people watching us right now, aren't there?"
Edmund chuckled and gave a slight nod. "They are."
"Alright then." Primrose finally stood up and glanced around the area. "I think it's time for us to go."
But just a moment later, she started hearing their thoughts again.
