Sasuke's Big Entrance
Izumo was speechless.
Truly, he was at a loss for words. This White Zetsu was beyond disgusting. He could absorb that? Just how revolting could he get?
Kotetsu walked up, his expression twisting as he took in the sight of the transformed White Zetsu. A complicated mix of emotions flickered in his eyes. It was as if White Zetsu had ceased to be an enemy and instead become... something else. Something worse.
And then his gaze snapped to the golden figure standing nearby.
Who the hell was this guy?
Naruto grinned and waved. "Yo!"
Kotetsu frowned. "Who are you?"
Izumo smacked the back of his head. "Are you an idiot?! That's Naruto!!!"
Kotetsu immediately stiffened, his posture defensive. "Naruto Uzumaki! The rogue ninja?!"
Without hesitation, he pulled out his kunai, ready to fight. Izumo groaned and smacked him again.
"Idiot! If Naruto hadn't saved me just now, I'd be dead!"
As they spoke, the reinforcements from Konoha finally arrived, engaging the enemy on all fronts.
Izumo turned back to Naruto. "Naruto, if you can sense the changes in White Zetsu, we need your help. If you came back here, that means you still have feelings for the village, right?"
Naruto nodded without hesitation. "Of course."
He clapped his hands together. "Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
BOOM!
The battlefield was flooded with thousands of golden Narutos, each one a perfect clone of the original. Izumo and Kotetsu were left dumbstruck. This wasn't normal. Not even remotely.
"How much chakra does this guy even have?! This is straight-up broken!" Kotetsu muttered.
"Alright, let's move!" Naruto commanded.
In a flash, his clones spread out, each one darting into the village to hunt down the White Zetsu army.
Just then, a familiar voice rang out. "Need any help, yo?"
Naruto turned to see Killer Bee, Samehada slung over his shoulder.
Naruto grinned. "Uncle Bee! Just hold the gate, will ya?"
"Aight! I got this!" Bee said, before charging at the White Zetsu clones, slicing through them with practiced ease.
Naruto turned back to Izumo, his tone shifting. "You okay? How bad is it?"
Izumo inspected his wound. "Not too bad. I'll be fine as long as I stay out of the fight."
Naruto nodded. "Good. Let Bee handle things here. If more Konoha shinobi arrive, fill them in on the situation."
Kotetsu helped Izumo up but remained curious. "Naruto, why? You defected from the village, and now you're... what? Protecting it?"
Izumo was watching him too, waiting for an answer.
Naruto smiled. "You guys really don't get it, huh? I might not be in Konoha, but in my heart, I'm still Uzumaki Naruto of the Hidden Leaf."
Before anyone could respond, a cold, sharp voice rang through the battlefield.
"Move aside, or die."
A searing arrow of chakra shot through the air. Killer Bee barely had time to partially transform into his Eight-Tails cloak, using one of his tails to block the attack.
Naruto frowned, then looked up. A slow grin spread across his face.
"Well, well. If it isn't the emo king himself."
Sasuke stood atop a nearby structure, his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan glowing ominously. The violet skeletal form of Susanoo loomed around him, its menacing energy crackling in the air.
"Tch." Sasuke scoffed. "Naruto? Hmph. Long time no see. What the hell happened to you? You look like you bathed in a damn light bulb."
Naruto glanced down at himself. "Oh, this? I finally got my Nine-Tails Chakra Mode under control. What about you? I see you've been hitting the Susanoo steroids."
Sasuke clenched his teeth. Hearing that Naruto had mastered the Nine-Tails' power was not the news he wanted to hear.
Damn it! This bastard just wouldn't stop growing stronger!
Sasuke had just gotten his Eternal Mangekyō. He should be ahead! But Naruto's power was so ridiculous, it was like the universe itself wanted him to suffer.
"You always talk too much," Sasuke muttered. "Didn't you leave Konoha with me? So what now? Are you here to destroy it, or what?"
Naruto tilted his head. "Destroy it? Nah. I'm here to protect it."
Sasuke's eyes narrowed. "You must be kidding. You're a rogue ninja. Why would you care about protecting Konoha? Don't tell me you're still on that stupid dream of becoming Hokage."
Naruto grinned. "It's not a dream, Sasuke. I'm protecting my Konoha. Our Konoha."
Something in Sasuke's chest tightened at those words. His fingers twitched. He wanted to reject them, to tell Naruto he was a fool. But the way he said our Konoha... it made something deep inside him waver.
"Tch." Sasuke scowled. "Get out of my way. I have business with Danzo."
Naruto blinked, then whistled. "Oh. So you're actually going through with it? Damn, I didn't think you'd do it."
Sasuke's scowl deepened. "Of course, I am. I'm going to kill that bastard."
Naruto stretched lazily. "You should have told me sooner. I could've sent a clone to guide you. Also, heads-up—Danzo's chakra is seriously screwed up. I'm getting some real bad vibes from him."
Sasuke snorted. "I don't need your warnings. Worry about yourself."
With that, he drove Susanoo forward, preparing to break into the village by force.
Konoha's shinobi tried to stop him, but Susanoo's blade was already mid-swing. The impact would have crushed them in an instant—
—if Naruto hadn't stepped in.
His Nine-Tails cloak flared to life, forming a massive chakra arm that caught Susanoo's blade mid-strike.
"Whoa there, buddy. Let's not go murdering Konoha ninjas, yeah?"
Sasuke gritted his teeth. "Mind your damn business!"
Naruto chuckled. "Come on, man. Save your chakra. Also, no need to make a scene. Just follow my clone. He'll lead you to Danzo."
Sasuke hesitated for a split second, then clicked his tongue in annoyance. With a reluctant motion, he deactivated Susanoo and leapt forward, following Naruto's clone without another word.
Karin, who had been observing silently, stared at Naruto in awe.
Sasuke had actually listened to him?
Naruto watched them go, hands on his hips. "Man, that guy's such a drama queen."
Kotetsu stared at him. "You really think he's going to just kill Danzo and leave?"
Naruto smirked. "Nah. He's Sasuke. Things are gonna get messy. But hey—that's what makes it fun."
