"Enough!"
Above the hall, Hyūga Hiashi roared as he stood up.
There was no other way—if he, as the head of the clan, didn't step in, these elders might be killed by Naruto right on the spot.
Looking at Hinata, nestled safely in Naruto's arms, Hiashi said coldly, "Hinata, come here!"
Forced by her father's commanding tone, Hinata slowly left Naruto's embrace. But she couldn't help looking back at him. Naruto didn't move his gaze; instead, he reached out and pulled her gently back into his arms once again.
Hiashi's eyes narrowed slightly—this was clearly a declaration of sovereignty to his future father-in-law.
Naruto looked straight at Hiashi, memories of his past life surfacing—back then, his relationship with his father-in-law had actually been quite decent.
So he spoke calmly, "Uncle, the Hyūga Clan is one of the great noble clans of Konoha. We shouldn't keep groveling like this. Was the pain that Kumogakure inflicted on you last time not harsh enough?"
Hiashi's expression turned darker, and something clearly unpleasant came to mind.
Back then, a Kumogakure ninja had infiltrated the Hyūga compound and attempted to kidnap the young Hinata. After discovering the intruder, Hiashi killed the kidnapper and rescued his daughter. However, the Land of Lightning demanded that the killer be handed over in exchange for peace.
At that time, Konoha had just emerged from the Third Great Ninja War and was at its weakest. In the end, the Hyūga Clan had no choice but to comply. So, Hyūga Hizashi, Hiashi's twin brother from the branch family, sacrificed himself to protect the clan's secrets and took Hiashi's place.
Because of this, Hiashi harbored a deep sense of guilt.
On the side, Neji stood silently, his mood extremely sour. He understood exactly what Naruto was referring to. That was why he had always opposed his cousin being married off. He didn't want another tragedy like his father's to be repeated.
The clan elders, too, understood what Naruto was implying. Their wounds—long buried—had been ripped open, and they couldn't bear it.
"Naruto! Take your hands off her! This is the territory of the Hyūga Clan—it's not your place to behave so wildly here!" one elder shouted.
Naruto furrowed his brows slightly and sighed. "You're all really annoying."
With a slight movement of his palm, an invisible force surged through the air.
Chirrrrrrrrrr!
A wave of Shinra Tensei—the repulsive force of the Deva Path—suddenly erupted and blasted several clan elders directly across the room.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Their bodies slammed into the walls, leaving cracks in the wood and blood dripping from the corners of their mouths. They groaned in agony, collapsing to the floor.
Hinata trembled in shock.
Although she wanted Naruto to defend her, these clan elders had watched her grow up. If they were killed by Naruto, she knew she would feel deeply guilty.
Seeing the worry in Hinata's eyes, Naruto comforted her, "Don't worry. I'm controlling my strength. They won't die—as long as I don't go all out."
Hearing this, Hinata felt somewhat relieved.
Hiashi could no longer stay calm. "Naruto, how dare you act so wildly within the Hyūga Clan!" he shouted.
To attack the elders like this was tantamount to slapping the face of the entire Hyūga Clan.
He had no choice—he had to act.
Just then, Neji stepped forward decisively.
"Wait, Clan Head!" he called.
Hiashi froze in place when he saw Neji step out. "Neji, are you siding with Naruto, an outsider?" he asked, displeased.
Neji shook his head. "No, sir. I just want to ask a question. Would you have Hinata marry off again to appease the anger of the Land of Lightning?"
Hiashi turned to look at his beloved daughter, his expression conflicted.
"Of course not! Not only am I unwilling to give her away, but to be honest, I'd rather burn Kumogakure to the ground than ever agree to that again!"
With those words, he slammed the table beside him with a palm strike, shattering it instantly.
The nearby clan members were impressed, murmuring among themselves about the sheer power of their clan head's Gentle Fist.
Neji remained calm. "Then if you don't want that, and Naruto is standing here right now… what do we have left to fear?"
Hiashi frowned. "Neji, you know Naruto's position is… unstable."
He looked at Naruto meaningfully.
Neji nodded and turned to face Naruto.
"Yes, Naruto's current standing in the village may be uncertain. But to my knowledge, the Hokage has issued no formal declaration branding him a missing-nin. There's been no arrest order, no pursuit squads."
"In fact," Neji continued, "Naruto willingly stepped up and helped Konoha in the recent battle. He fought beside the village shinobi and helped repel foreign enemies. I believe many Hyūga Clan members who fought alongside him can confirm this."
Several Hyūga nin who had been part of that battle nodded in agreement.
Neji went on, "So, based on that, Naruto is still a shinobi of Konoha. There's no official condemnation of him. And more than that, my cousin genuinely loves Naruto, and he clearly loves her in return. It's a perfect match."
"Furthermore—and let's be honest here—not just in this room, but in all of Konoha, and perhaps even the entire shinobi world, who can truly stand against Naruto?"
"A mere Kumogakure ninja? Don't make me laugh."
Neji turned to Naruto, admiration shining in his eyes.
Naruto gave Neji a big nod of approval.
That's right! Brother-in-law's speech hit the mark!
Naruto gave Neji a solid pat on the back, then looked at Hiashi.
"Uncle, don't worry. As for Kumogakure, I'll be visiting them very soon. And they will apologize."
"Also, Neji's right."
"The current shinobi world? To be honest, even if all five Kage banded together, they wouldn't be able to do anything to me."
"In fact, if they pissed me off… one Tailed Beast Bomb, or a single Shinra Tensei, and I could wipe an entire village off the map."
"That's why you should be thankful Hinata came to me of her own free will. Because if I had found out she was already married to someone else—well then, I'd tell you plainly: I'd erase the entire Hyūga Clan from Konoha without hesitation."
As he spoke, the air around Naruto erupted—the full force of the Deva Path's gravity surged out, sweeping across the room with overwhelming intensity.
"W-what kind of pressure is this?!"
"Such terrifying chakra!"
All around, members of the Hyūga Clan dropped to one knee, trying to resist the sheer force bearing down on them.
Even Hiashi, one of Konoha's most elite jōnin, had to bow his head under the weight of Naruto's power. One could only imagine just how terrifying Naruto had become.
As for the elders who had been knocked out earlier—they simply continued to pretend to be unconscious, not daring to move a muscle.
Neji looked at Naruto, who was once considered the dead last of the Academy, and now stood as an overwhelming force of nature. He couldn't help but recall what Naruto had once told him during the Chūnin Exams:
"When I become Hokage, I'll change the fate of your Hyūga Clan."
A faint smile crept across Neji's face.
It seemed… that day wasn't far off at all.
Naruto let go of Hinata and looked at her gently.
"Don't worry about things here at home. I'm heading to the Land of Lightning—I'll be back soon."
Hinata nodded, her face filled with concern. "Please be careful."
Naruto grinned and flicked her nose. "Didn't you hear what Brother Neji said? Who can even lay a finger on me now?"
Hinata's face turned bright red, shy and flustered at being teased in front of so many clan members.
Neji turned away. Even though Naruto had grown so strong… seeing him flirt with his cousin still rubbed him the wrong way.
After whispering a few more words of comfort to Hinata and nodding once more at Neji, Naruto took a step forward—then soared into the sky, dashing straight toward Kumogakure.
