I woke up to a familiar ceiling. Damon had once again carried me through the Kingdom of Lust. I glanced around and saw Tantan sleeping peacefully in his bed. I sat up and felt a little discomfort in my bottom. Despite being drunk with Pheros last night, I remembered everything. The memory of last night made my face hot.
I decided to head to the bathroom. Walking was harder than usual. I could feel myself waddling awkwardly. Catching my reflection in the mirror, I saw my butt protruding as I waddled like a penguin. I tried to straighten up, but I felt sharp sting so I leaned forward again.
Is this what it feels like after the first time? Or is it because I'm a man and maybe things aren't supposed to be put there? Or... maybe Damon is just too big? I'd seen Damon's size before, but now... I looked at my arm and shivered, as if I could still feel him there.
But at the moment it was happening, it didn't hurt. It wasn't just the feeling inside me, but his skin, his breath, his voice, and his twitching movements. Everything felt euphoric.
Looking at my reflection again, one hand traced my body while the other rubbed my front. My face flushed deeper, and my eyes were half open. A look and behavior I never imagined I could have. I looked like I was craving what happened last night.
Suddenly, my eyes snapped wide open. I remembered that this is a shared bathroom. I glanced nervously toward Damon's door and silently thanked the gods it's close.
It's been a while since I saw Liam and Johan. I need to snap out of it and go out thus I decided to take a quick shower.
...
Tantan is already awake once I finished.
"Milady, Sir Damon suggested you have your meal inside your room once you woke up so you could rest right after."
"It's okay. I can manage to eat at the dining area."
"But..... Sir Damon said not to let you wander around freely." Seeing my confused face, Tantan added. " Don't misunderstand Milady, he's just concerned for your health."
But keeping me locked in my room is too much. Does it require a lot of rest after doing it the first time?
"I don't think being in my room or outside will make a difference. Also, I haven't greeted Liam and Johan yet."
Ignoring Tantan's words, I walked outside my room. Liam and Johan's eyes landed on me. They smiled awkwardly at me and looked like they don't know what to say.
"Good Morning." I started.
"Good.... morning.." They replied in unison.
"It's already dinner time but if you want something for breakfast tell me." Liam added.
To be honest, I thought they'll approach me and be excited to see me but they're being careful. I slowly sat down at the dining room as they continue to prepare for dinner. Only three plates were set.
"How about Damon's?" I asked.
Johan side glanced at Liam before answering. "He's still at Level 7. After carrying you home he immediately left."
"Why?"
"He went back to punish Asmo."
I can feel my heart tightened hearing Liam's answer. Damon is willing to punish his cousin just for me. As if Liam knows what I'm thinking, he immediately broke my fantasy.
"Asmo did something respectful. He did something non-consensual to Damon's companion. It's a serious insult to Damon."
"Then does that mean whoever Damon's companion is, Damon will do the same?"
"Of course that's his duty. "
Right. His duty. It would be such a disgrace to his reputation if he can't even protect a mere soul like me. The tightening to my my heart turned to a pang. Is it because of I felt rejected? Hoping that something developed between us during our Journey? But maybe it's for the better. Damon isn't someone to personally get closer to. He has his duty and could kill a soul without blinking.
Liam and Johan must've realized that I was hoping for something.
"But Damon did carry you back home."
"Right, he wouldn't do that just for anyone. He even covered you with his wings while carrrying you."
"He wouldn't also give up something he protected for years if you're not special to him."
Realizing what they're talking about, my face turned red of embarassment. They knew?
"Did Damon tell you what happened?"
They side eyed each other and shook their heads.
"But you both knew what happened to us?"
They nodded.
"How?"
"In the purgatory, the whispers of the dead travels fast. Especially if the news is regarding Damon." Explained Johan.
"Especially when it comes to his virginity." Liam added. Johan hit him with his elbow. "Also he was carrying you with his wings out. Everyone would be curious what happened."
Tantan joined our conversation. " When morning came, everyone at Level 7 is whispering about it. 'Sir Damon's scent changed.' 'He did it with a lost soul.' But you don't have to be guilty, some souls are even eager. Since sir Damon already has no virginity to protect, they are hoping he's now at the stage with sleeping with anyone."
Liam bonked Tantan on his head to stop talking.
Sleep with anyone? Since Damon has the same blood with Prince Asmo, he'll also crave the same pleasure. Maybe he's at level 7 not because he's punishing Prince Asmo but maybe he's sleeping around.
"When will he come back?" I asked.
"Once he finishes his duty. Damon just comes and go but ever since you came, he makes sure to come back within the same day."
"Rest assured, he's not sleeping around. Everyone knows how Damon believes in true love and serious relationships."
"He's not someone to treat you as a one night stand."
"We're not in a relationship. I'm just one of the employees."
"But, he made sure to tell the three of us to protect and be of your service if needed. That shows you're special"
"That's because I'm just a helpless lost human soul unlike you guys, you're Angels of Death."
The three of them went silent. They knew that whatever words they throw at me, I'll just deflect it. Nothing can comfort my disheartened hope.
We finished eating and I went back to my own room after. Since it's night already then should I wait for a few hours until he comes back. I'm pretty sure we need to talk about us.
Just few hours of waiting and I can hear footsteps outside, going to Damon's room. He's back. I stood up and glued my ears to the bathroom door. He always wash up after coming back so I'll go in once I hear his door open.
As planned, his door opened so I opened mine. We locked eyes. The sensation from the night before came back when I saw his face. It's a confirmation, something did change. Just a night of intimacy with him made me feel something special. But....
"Tsk..." Damon closed his door. It's not mutual. He's avoiding me. Because of what happened, the closeness we've built during our Journey is gone. Liam and Johan lied to me. I am not special to Damon.
