The sun had begun to set beyond the horizon, casting a warm amber hue across the modest backyard where Elize had laid out a tray of tea and light snacks on the table.
A light breeze rustled the wind chimes hanging from the eaves, filling the air with a delicate melody.
Elize stood beside the table, pouring hot tea into two cups.
Ravene wearing a tank top and shorts, walked towards the table.
"Tea?" Elize asked with a soft smile, not looking up.
Ravene nodded and took the seat across from her "Thank you."
A few moments passed as both women took quiet sips of the fragrant brew. The sky turned from gold to lilac.
Looking at Ravene, Elize spoke "I was talking with Kael earlier today... and he told me that he is in a relationship with someone."
Huh? Ravene's body tensed upon hearing this and her gaze trembled 'Did he tell her about me or Eira...'
Elize tilted her head slightly "Hmm... You do know that he is like a son to me, Rave and it really shocked me."
