DOMINIC
"What's the progress?" I asked Antonio as we sat in the sunroom of my mansion.
"My men are ready. We can strike tonight, if you fulfil your part of the bargain." He took the last sip of the black coffee before putting the cup down and relaxing back in his seat.
"Why do you think I'm sending Diana to the therapist with you?" I cocked an eyebrow.
He watched me intently for a few seconds before shrugging,
"Because neither you nor Jane can accompany her today."
Rolling my eyes, I replied,
"I could have sent Alex or Brian with her. Even Jane was ready to reschedule her plans."
A small smirk graced his lips as he spoke,
"I have learnt, in Cosa Nostra, we shouldn't assume anything unless the other party clarifies their true intention. I am just being cautious."
I grumbled in annoyance.
