Chapter 120 - Piece of Cake?

As they were pulled through the underground tunnels by A-4, the five began to engage in lively conversation, this time-sharing their real names and abilities. It was a strange moment, as if the tension of the mission had momentarily dissipated to make way for a more personal discussion.

E-4, whose real name was Amaya Foody, revealed that her ability involved creating sweet objects of either gigantic or minuscule proportions, according to her will. Her creations could not only come to life but also serve as versatile tools: from protecting others to slowing down time or breaking down objects, depending on the color of the gelatinous liquid. "Like that giant gummy bear I used earlier," she explained with a mischievous smile. "It can stop attacks or even isolate enemies."

The muscular and brazen Mukio Samemoto, Agent B-3, proudly described his ability. "When something touches me, my body becomes resistant to it. Plus, I can accumulate energy and release it in the form of shockwaves." His carefree attitude contrasted with the seriousness of his words, as if he were accustomed to being admired.

D-4, the little robot, revealed his identity with some shyness. "My name is Akira Patrission," he murmured in a metallic voice. "I'm ten years old, just like my boss, Adrian. I can communicate with machines and technology, and this robotic suit not only protects me but is also a tribute to a video game character I love." Though he rarely showed his face, he admitted to having freckles, bright green eyes, and orange hair. "I feel more comfortable inside the suit," he confessed. "It's like it gives me... I don't know, an air of greatness." He muttered the last part to himself.

Agent E-4, Megumi Zakegumi, was an expert in earth magic. Her control over this element was impressive, and her ability to manipulate the terrain allowed them to move quickly underground. Finally, Adora Mayret, or Agent B-2, couldn't resist boasting: "Well, I'm the most beautiful, pretty, and intelligent of all these fools. I'm also the strongest and most agile."

"Hey, don't go saying nonsense like you're the prettiest, and we're fools!" the others protested in unison, sparking a new round of teasing and jokes.

The discussion continued until they finally reached their destination. "Why are we stopping, Megumi?" Akira asked, leaning forward curiously.

"Behind this earthen wall is the enemy's base," she replied calmly.

"I don't like being down here," Mukio commented, looking around uncomfortably. "I suffer from a little claustrophobia."

"I understand," Megumi said sympathetically. "I can raise this place just for you, crybaby, but first, put on some decent clothes. This shameless guy walks around like a boxer or wrestler—or so he claims—but it's very inappropriate."

"What's wrong with my clothes?" Mukio retorted defensively. "I'm like a boxer or a wrestler. There's nothing wrong with that." He looked to Akira for support, but the little robot stayed silent for a moment before replying, "Actually, I think you should put something on. It causes fewer distractions."

"No, and besides, this way I can feel what I touch and become resistant to whatever hits me," Mukio argued firmly.

"Stop being ridiculous," Adora interjected with a snort. "You can still do that by touching things or letting something touch you. Put on something decent. You can't go around half-naked like a pervert."

"What about this?" Amaya suggested, creating an outfit made of marzipan. The sweet material shimmered faintly under the dim light of the tunnel.

"Not in a million years will I wear that," Mukio replied with disgust.

"Fine, then use this," Megumi instructed, forming a lightweight yet durable suit made of rocks and stones. The material appeared carefully woven, as if tailored specifically for him.

"Alright, but only if we move quickly," Mukio grumbled, reluctantly putting on the suit. "This place is killing me. I feel so trapped."

"Too tight," he muttered while adjusting the rock-like shirt that outlined every muscle on his chest.

"Yes, but it'll hold up," Megumi assured him. "Hold on tight, we're going up."

With a smooth motion, the earthen platform began to ascend, carrying them toward the surface. When they emerged, Mukio took a deep breath, as if savoring the fresh air. "Ah! Fresh air! Open space!" he exclaimed dramatically, kissing the ground.

"Good, now for the important part," Adora said, pointing toward the horizon. "Raise the enemy base."

Megumi closed her eyes and extended her hands toward the ground. Slowly, she began to lift an imposing metallic structure that emerged from the earth like a sleeping titan. At the entrance, the Radar logo was clearly visible.

In the distance, the car carrying Melisa and the others came to an abrupt stop as they watched the building rise from the ground. "Well, that's where the action must be," Melisa murmured, observing the scene with determination. "And there's probably something there that can get us back to the airport."

"Alright, head over there, Ian," Michele ordered from the passenger seat, crossing her arms in frustration.

The building emerged from the ground as if it had been ripped out with brute force, leaving Eliot, the leader of Radar in Europe, astonished but furious. His eyes narrowed as he watched how that girl had managed such a feat. "Damn it! How dare you? And where are the mind-controlled soldiers that I sent?" he shouted, his voice echoing with authority.

"Sir, they were defeated," one of his subordinates replied, trying to remain calm.

"What do you mean, defeated? No one can defeat my mind-controlled soldiers!" Eliot exclaimed, incredulous. Then, a malicious smile spread across his face. "Ah, I see. It must have been these people who likely also have powers. Fine, I won't hold back. I'll activate my entire force of mind-controlled soldiers at maximum power! Assassin mode again!" With a swift motion, he turned a dial and pressed a button on a remote control.

"I think you pissed him off by pulling it out of the ground like a carrot," Mukio commented mockingly, glancing at Megumi.

"Why do you say that?" she asked, confused.

"Because of this," Amaya interjected, pointing toward the horizon. A hundred dark figures emerged from the shadows, advancing with lethal determination.

"Bah!" "If they're like the previous ones, this will be a piece of cake," Adora declared arrogantly, crossing her arms. However, no sooner had she finished speaking than she was struck by a devastating blow that sent her flying through the sky.

"Adora! What happened?" Mukio shouted, watching as his teammate disappeared among the buildings.

"It seems these ones are going to be a problem," Akira murmured in his metallic voice, assessing the situation. "Well, it's time to fight." The little robot adopted a defensive stance, ready to attack.

High above, Adora rose from a rooftop, spitting blood as she wiped her split lip. "That bastard... how dare he damage my beautiful face?" she growled, enraged. "I'm strong, but I'm not as resilient as Mukio. I need to be more careful and not let my guard down. Well, I'll have to knock out a few of them before going after the leader." With renewed determination, she began running toward where her teammates were.

Meanwhile, Megumi protected herself behind a rock she had shaped into a shield. The water-based attacks launched by the mind-controlled subjects came in the form of sharp drills, attempting to pierce through her defense. Amaya, however, didn't fall behind. With a mischievous smile, she began creating an army of gingerbread men that exploded in small detonations when destroyed.

"They're kamikaze gingerbread men," Mukio explained, watching as the enemies were caught off guard by the explosions. "Crazy girl, what's gotten into you, sending cute little dolls to explode, Amaya?"

The girl simply returned with a cheerful grin, enjoying the chaos she had created.

"Damn it, it's hard not to damage them and take them out," Akira muttered as he launched his robotic arms like missiles at the enemies. The mind-controlled subjects responded with electrical discharges coming from all directions, forcing him to dodge them with difficulty. He decided to ascend into the sky using his boots as thrusters and launched small mechanical insects from his back, directing them toward the enemies. "With this, they should be out of commission," he thought, satisfied.

But their victory was short-lived. From the shadows, one of the mind-controlled subjects who could fly appeared suddenly, grabbing Akira from behind and diving straight toward the ground. The impact was brutal. A loud crunch echoed as Akira hit the ground, his visor shattered and his robotic suit damaged.

"Ouch! That hurt," the boy muttered as the nanomachines integrated into his suit began repairing the damage automatically. "I can't use lethal force. Alright, here you go." He pulled out modified yo-yos and swung them at high speed, striking anyone who got in his way. "Ha! Take that!" he exclaimed, proud of his strategy.

However, he didn't notice the flying boy coming back for him. Before he could react, an agile figure appeared in front of him. It was Adora, who intercepted the enemy with a precise blow. "Gotcha, bird boy," she said with an arrogant smile.

"Show-off," Akira muttered, though he couldn't help but feel a hint of gratitude.

"Come at me!" Mukio shouted with a defiant laugh as he allowed his enemies' attacks to strike his muscular body. Each blow seemed to strengthen him further, as if he were absorbing their energy. "Alright, I think that's enough," he muttered finally, clashing his fists together forcefully. A shockwave erupted from his body, knocking down all nearby enemies and leaving them unconscious on the ground.

"Ugh! The shirt Megumi made for me broke," he commented, looking at the torn remains of the rock-made garment. "But it doesn't matter. That's how we fighters are," he added with an arrogant smile, flexing his pecs and biceps, reveling in the display of his own resilience.

"What a pervert!" Adora exclaimed as she delivered a spinning kick that knocked out a couple more enemies. Her agility was impressive, but her comment drew laughter from the others.

"This isn't over," Megumi murmured, focusing on creating a stone prison that emerged from the ground to trap the mind-controlled subjects. The enemies were enclosed in a solid cage, unable to move. "Amaya, your turn," she said, gesturing toward the structure.

The young woman nodded and extended her hands, summoning a gelatinous mass that filled the cage. The viscous substance began slowing the prisoners' movements until they were completely immobilized. "This was just a warm-up," Mukio declared, still admiring his muscles with pride.

From the top of the building, Eliot observed the scene with a mix of astonishment and frustration. "What are these people? They've easily taken down my mind-controlled soldiers in assassin mode!" he growled, clenching his fists in anger.

"Sir, I don't think your mind-controlled soldiers were a match for them," his second-in-command remarked cautiously, trying not to further enrage his leader.

"Aha! Then I'll use my last resort, the one I saved for emergencies," Eliot announced with a malicious smile. "And I gave him a little extra help." With a dramatic gesture, the building split in two, revealing a colossal figure slowly emerging. It was a muscular giant, though his youth was evident beneath the armored plating covering his body. His imposing presence dominated the battlefield.

"Allow me to introduce my superior weapon," Eliot declared triumphantly. "The future waits for no one, and neither do I. I call him... the Super Controlled!" The giant took a step forward, his armor thundering against the ground. "Go after them!" Eliot ordered, pointing at the intruders.

The Super Controlled advanced with heavy steps, each one shaking the ground beneath his feet. His vacant yet intimidating gaze was fixed on the heroes, who exchanged quick glances, assessing the situation.

"Well, this is about to get interesting," Akira murmured, adjusting his newly repaired visor.

"Don't tell me," Adora replied sarcastically, though her eyes sparkled with excitement. "Time to see what we're made of."
