"Ahem!" she cleared her throat, hoping to bring their attention to her, what was most important.
"Huh?"
"Oh yeah," Grandpa nodded, "you were saying?"
A low grunt escaped her lips and she took her seat beside her grandfather on the bed.
"Gramps. Are you focused on me or Jace?"
Having not expected such a question from Kiera, Jace coughed out multiple times, before clearing his throat and staring intently at her.
"Excuse me?"
All Kiera did was pout and fold her arms underneath her bosom.
All of a sudden, a peal of hearty laughter rang out from Grandpa, prompting Jace to join in at Kiera's cute face.
"She's so cute when she pouts and feigns anger," Grandpa pointed out.
"Exactly sir. So kissable even."
At once Grandpa cleared his throat and Jace apologized when he noticed he was beginning to take things slightly far.
Seeing the exchange between them, Kiera could not help but feel they looked like two close friends.
