The restaurant Amelia and Dominic visited was tucked away among a row of old shops with dim lighting. Yet the moment they stepped inside, the scent of rosemary and fragrant candles warmly welcomed them. Vintage-style chandeliers hung low above a small table for two, while a large glass window beside them overlooked a tiny garden bathed in soft yellow light.

Dominic pulled out the chair for Amelia, then took a seat across from her. He looked more relaxed that evening—his jacket was off, leaving only a white shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

"I like this place," Amelia murmured as she looked around. "Not too formal, but it feels warm."

"I chose this place because… of you," Dominic replied without hesitation. "It doesn't need luxurious décor to make you the brightest person in this room."

Amelia lifted her head, her lips smiling, though her eyes looked a little misty. "You know how to speak in a way that makes people forget they're wearing their highest walls."
