It came out of knowhere. I just got done taking out the trash. Only to see my mom and dad in front of the TV eyes glued to it like they were being hypnotized or something.
"What's going on?". I asked walking into the living room and looking at what's got them so captivated.
And there he was floating in the vacuum of space like it was totally normal.
'A boy? Floating? Space? Alien? God? Invasion?'
If you can't tell my brains lagging give me a sec....
'WHAT THE DUCK?!!'.
There we go.
The boy lifted his hand and a ball of light appeared on it and then he let it fall.
I don't know why but I'm scared. I don't know what that is. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen yet it scares me. It falls straight down towards China. The live feed from the space station keeps rolling and seems to be trying to focus in on his or it's face and failing. The news anchor doesn't say anything but stares back trying to come up with what to say next. A few seconds later he finally starts talking again. For the next 10 minutes we keep watching the screen listening for new information on what that is. A new feed comes in next to the current rolling one. They found the orb of light. It's just floating above the ground. In the middle of a city. The Chinese military surrounded the area and have created a perimeter.
'That was fast.'
For the next 30 minutes an unknown random officer talked about how they don't know what it is for the moment but there figureing it out.
My heart is starting to pound in my chest. 'Somethings wrong I can feel it, something about to happen, but I don't know what'.
"Mom, dad, somethings doesn't feel right."
"We know we feel that way too." Said Mom.
We kept looking at the TV. Then out of knowhere the glowing orb that was previously laying on they ground raised into the air then detonated. A bright flash of light was seen on the city feed then darkness.
The feed that was previously on the boy paned down towards the planet only to see a giant pulse radiating from were the ball of light was dropped. Within minutes the entirety of China was engulfed and it just kept expanding.
