Due to the urgency, many unimportant details were omitted, leaving only two essential rituals.
At the southern base of the mountain, a Round Mound Sacrificial Altar was set up, and at the mountaintop, a Dengfeng Platform was erected.
These correspond to Houtu and the Heavenly Emperor respectively.
Song Lin donned the dragon robe, while Mr. Zhuge, serving as the Sacrificial Wine officiant, recited the prayers.
"The Emperor ascends his station, establishing just laws and governing principles. For five years, the dominion has been united, and all pledge allegiance. He personally travels to distant lands to connect with the common people, ascending this Mount Tai, surveying the East Pole..."
These prayers would later be inscribed on a stele to inspire reverence in future generations.
