It wasn't even 10 minutes after I said I'd wait for something to happen before something happened.
"What's up Hermes" I didn't bother looking over to the messenger god while talking.
"Hey Yoriichi what are you doing?" I deadpan at him for that question "what does it look like Hermes, I'm petting these animals" he winced before moving on with the conversation.
"So we need a bit of help with a teny-tiny problem we found" I sigh knowing this is going to either be a waste of time or the biggest pain in my ass ever.
After I gesture for him to continue he tells me the problem. "We found a monster that has been kidnapping demigods and their equivalents from other Pantheons and it's one of our monsters. So if we don't do something we are fucked as we'll get all the blame" I lay on my back and ask.
"How bad we talking here" I can see the way he tenses from thinking about it. "Bad enough we might actually have a cross Pantheon war with us having no allies" I groan at that because I know I am gonna get involved if a war happens.
"Where to first" he brightens so much I wonder if he's actually Apollo. "So the first Pantheon we need to appease is the biblical faction both devil and fallen angel" I groan even louder at realising this is a cross over world.
At this point its possible to hear the pain in my voice. "Who got kidnapped from them" he mumbles that answer quietly so I don't hear. "What was that?" He says it again louder, "the son of Sirzechs Lucifer" I'm almost crying at this point "you've got to be fucking me right? Please say this is a joke and a monster of our faction didn't steal the son of the fucking super devil of pure destruction."
He looks like someone killed his puppy and are it Infront of him. "I'm sorry but it's true."
It takes a full 2 hours for me to stop cursing the monster and it's whole family tree.
"So what do I have to do to appease the personification of destruction" he sighs at my agreement. "We are going to lend him you to do as he pleases on the condition nothing he makes you do goes against your morals, so your be his aid/servant for a while" I look at him like he's an idiot. "And the other factions" his face loses most of the terror on it. "The kids taken from them aren't as important as millicas was in their respective factions so they don't need as much payment compared to the devils"
"So why am I doing this, I'm nearly apart of your Pantheon let along your faction" I give him a dirty look. "Because as the only person Gaia has blessed in 1000s of years you are more likely to survive than any demigod we could send" he looks apologetic but I can tell this is probably Zeus's plan so he can get rid of a powerful person he can't control at all.
"Whatever but if this is a ploy I'm going to kill the entirety of the Olympians excluding Hestia" he nods most likely thinking this is an empty threat but I dont care.
"When do I leave to aid Lucifer" he shrugs and explains "when you have everything you need and have said good bye" I nod and go about doing that, leaving a manual for the rest of the flame breathing forms for David and saying goodbye to Hestia mainly.
It takes less than an hour for me to be ready to leave and when I am and return to the clearing where Hermes is he has what I'm guessing is a devil summoning circle in his hand. " You ready?" I nod at him and he rips the paper.
When the paper is ripped a massive magic circle forms in crimson red underneath us and we are gone in a flash of light.
When the light dissipates we are in a fancy office with a very pissed off Sirzechs Lucifer death starring us. "Good evening Olympian envoy" oh so this is Lucifer at the moment instead of Sirzechs the siscon.
Hermes seems to sweat a bit but moves on with the introduction. "Good evening Satan Lucifer as you are aware I am Hermes and this young man next to me is our payment for the millicas situation" the Satan seems to get angrier at that and it's hard to tell if it is from the mention of millicas or thinking Olympus is giving him a human as payment.
"How is this young man your 'payment'" Hermes seems to realise what the Satan means easily.
"This young man is Yoriichi Tsugikuni our leading swordsman and current strongest mortal in our faction" I don't interrupt because I don't want to make this any harder.
"And this means?" Sirzechs seems to calm slightly as Hermes explains but remains sceptical of the use I could have as a mortal swordsman.
Hermes smirks for the first time this whole meeting. "This man has progressed his swordsmanship to the point it can effect and use the domain of us gods" this makes Sirzechs lift his eyebrow and I lift mine too as I didn't know I was effecting the gods's domains.
"Really? That is very impressive for a mortal. But I still don't see why he is the payment" Hermes deflates at the unimpressive reaction of Sirzechs.
"We are lending him to you to do as you wish as long as the orders don't go against his own morals" that makes Sirzechs nod in understanding.
"Fine I accept this as enough to cover the kidnapping of my son" it really doesn't seem he agrees as his arm rest is cracking from how hard he is holding it.
Noticing this Hermes thanks Sirzechs and leaves in a flash of divine light leaving me here.
"Imma be honest I have been 'apart' of this faction for less than a year because my student joined" he nods nearly paying what I said any mind and presses a button under his desk and 3 people rush into the room all talking at the same time.
