"I give off an optimistic vibe?" I look at Rin like he has grown two heads.
"I keep telling you, you're sweet and innocent. It's kind of cute and annoying at the same time."
"I will need you to cut it out. So what do we do now? Are we doomed or not?"
"Not really. I only pointed out the one side of the coin," Rin chuckles. "On the other hand, someone will come across your work, your effort in doing something, your art, and will say that yes, this is fresh, this is something I have been looking for. Then another will say, Wow, okay, so this is exactly what I needed right now.
"It's not all doomed, you know?" he bumps my shoulder with his. "Focus on the part that makes you wake up and try again, and again. If you focus on the doomer shit, you won't get up and do what you need to do."
"Do you read a lot of books?"
"What?" Rin asks in a startled laugh.
