Peter Pettigrew was truly terrified of this boy named Noah. Especially after spending so much time with Ron, he naturally understood just how frightening this kid really was.
Noah was born a Muggle, yet possessed a magical talent so overwhelming that even many pure-blood wizards found it unbelievable.
What was even more terrifying was that he actually knew how to increase his magical power.
That alone shattered the very foundations of what the magical world believed possible. It was fair to say, Noah had revolutionized magic itself.
And his backing? It was enough to leave anyone stunned.
He was under the tutelage of the Sorcerer Supreme!
How could someone like that be defeated?
Even if the Dark Lord returned and confronted Noah, what would become of him?
There was no need to imagine. It would be a disaster, a foregone conclusion.
Peter Pettigrew was overcome with despair. Never in his worst nightmares had he imagined someone like Noah would become an enemy of Lord Voldemort.
To avoid complete ruin, even though he knew countless secrets, Peter still chose to transform into his Animagus form, a rat, and hide within the Weasley household.
He was desperate, terrified, and helpless. But none of that could erase the crimes he had committed all those years ago.
His only hope was to remain hidden forever. Because if he were ever discovered, his fate would be truly grim.
But fate rarely goes as one hopes.
That afternoon, while Peter, still in rat form, was basking in the Hogwarts sunlight, he suddenly noticed Professor Lupin approaching… with the Marauder's Map in hand.
He knew immediately that trouble had arrived. Although he had escaped detection once before, this time Lupin clearly knew what he was looking for.
Desperation consumed him. Even if he could revert to his human form, he was no match for Lupin, especially without a wand.
Eventually, he was dragged to Dumbledore's office, where he finally learned how he had been exposed.
His resentment toward Noah deepened. But so did his fear. A genius like Noah, intelligent and powerful, was an absolute nightmare.
Now, with Lupin's wand pointed at his head, Peter thought it was over. There was no room left to bargain.
But just as the killing curse seemed inevitable, Dumbledore stepped in, halting Lupin's advance. That small act gave Peter a sliver of hope.
Sure, Azkaban was horrifying, but it was still better than immediate death… right?
But his brief moment of relief was shattered when the boy he both hated and feared, Noah, spoke again.
A sudden, chilling premonition gripped Peter.
"Oh? Noah, do you have any other suggestions?" Dumbledore asked, glancing at him with uncharacteristic seriousness.
If it had been anyone else, he might have taken their words lightly. But not with Noah. Not even the smallest suggestion could be dismissed.
In some ways, Noah was even like a teacher to Dumbledore.
Thanks to Noah's guidance, Dumbledore had developed a deeper understanding of elemental magic, enhancing his own abilities dramatically.
And after making a formal agreement with Kamar-Taj, Dumbledore received an official magician's certification pendant, confirming his magical level, Level Six.
Though a sixth-level magician was considered the peak of intermediate mages, Noah, at only Level Four, was already on Dumbledore's level. That was a testament to Noah's raw potential.
Above intermediate was advanced, and beyond that? No one really knew. But Dumbledore dreamed of it.
As for Voldemort? If he had once been a daunting challenge, Dumbledore now saw him as merely another obstacle.
Even Snape, McGonagall, and others had grown stronger recently, rising to Voldemort's level.
And all of that… was thanks to Noah.
That was why the heads of all four Hogwarts houses held such deep respect for Noah, not just for his power or backing from Kamar-Taj.
Noah was a visionary, and the university model he introduced had given young wizards real hope for the future.
So when Noah finally spoke, everyone, Dumbledore, the heads of houses, and even Lupin, listened attentively.
"I think this guy's hiding more than we think. He's been living at the Weasleys' for over twelve years. I wouldn't be surprised if he's already prepared a resurrection ritual or two."
Peter Pettigrew visibly shuddered.
"Resurrection magic? That's… forbidden," Dumbledore muttered, then nodded thoughtfully.
Without hesitation, he raised his wand, and a wave of powerful silver magic surged from its tip.
Ignoring Peter's pitiful pleas, Dumbledore pressed his wand against Peter's forehead. Instantly, Peter let out a desperate scream, then went limp, his expression blank, his soul seemingly absent.
A minute later, Dumbledore finally withdrew his wand.
Thud.
Peter collapsed to the floor, his eyes dull, his spirit shattered.
Though Dumbledore looked pale and troubled, he remained standing. Snape quickly stepped forward to support him.
"Are you alright, Professor?" Lupin and several others asked, concerned. Members of the Mage Alliance surrounded him as well.
"I'm fine," Dumbledore replied with a weary sigh. "Just… saw too much sadness all at once."
He had seen it all in Peter's mind: the betrayal, the switch with Sirius Black, the escape, and the intricate plans of the Death Eaters.
It was horrifying.
Now Dumbledore hesitated, was Azkaban really secure enough to hold someone like Peter?
Azkaban's guardians, the Dementors, were formidable, but they couldn't detect or drain the joy from animals.
That's likely how Sirius escaped, by transforming into his Animagus form, a large black dog.
And Peter? If he could remain a rat for twelve years, escaping Azkaban would be child's play.
The more he thought about it, the more frustrated he became. The Ministry's incompetence was staggering.
After a moment of reflection, he turned to Noah once more.
"Noah, you made an excellent point. Without seeing his memories, I would never have realized how dangerous Peter truly is. What would you suggest we do now?"
"Me?" Noah tapped his chin, then casually asked, "Could someone help me find Sirius Black? Also, does anyone here have a way to record what's happening now? Like… magically record it?"
"You mean as evidence?" Dumbledore caught on instantly.
"Exactly. Peter's crimes are horrific. Harry won't forgive him, and neither will Sirius. So, "
"I understand. I have a Pensieve, and I can extract my memory to use as evidence. With the students here as witnesses, it should be enough. As for finding Sirius... I heard he was seen in Hogsmeade Village this afternoon."
"Great. Then Professor Snape and I will go."
"Try contacting Hagrid, he has a Hippogriff that might help," Dumbledore suggested.
But before he could finish, Noah raised his wand. Gold light shimmered around it, swirling with black runes and mystic rings.
He drew a glowing circle in the air.
Moments later, the circle expanded into a golden portal, a perfect ring of magic. Through it, they could clearly see Hogsmeade Village.
Everyone was stunned.
"What kind of spell is that…?" someone whispered.
Even Dumbledore was speechless.
"What did you say just now?" Noah asked, looking back with a smirk.
Dumbledore paused for a beat, then smiled.
"Oh… nothing. Just… try not to beat Black too badly if he resists."
Noah chuckled. "Don't worry. I wouldn't want Harry resenting me for hurting his godfather."
He stepped through the portal without hesitation. Snape, after a long sigh, followed him.
The space portal slowly vanished, leaving the office in stunned silence.
