Chapter 282 - Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [282]

Magnus was stunned, watching the rampaging Dark Giant.

In open space, this giant unleashed unimaginable power—his speed was off the charts, the Chaos fleet couldn't even touch him, and every attack was devastating.

The black-purple beams tore through battleships, obliterating several in an instant.

What was this thing?

"Haha, my partner, this beam attack is impressive, but as a proud warrior, we should settle everything with our fists. Every enemy must be defeated with fists," Daram's consciousness spoke to Horus.

"That's true—we can use our full power, but it depends on the situation!

On a planet's surface or in tight spaces, close combat is best. But in space, beam attacks are the perfect choice.

Without me, you wouldn't have these beam abilities." Horus, controlling the Dark Giant, fired beams as he spoke.

After merging with Daram for six months, Horus had learned some things from observing Rhodes's mechanical Ultraman warriors.

Daram was a pure strength-type warrior—a total berserker.

At first, Horus thought the Dark Giant was a melee specialist and should focus on close combat.

But after seeing Rhodes' mechanical Ultramen and their variety of beam attacks, Horus changed his mind. Daram, aside from his strength, possessed immense dark energy and could use all sorts of powerful beam skills with ease!

But this guy only ever used one move—Extreme Blazing Beam. That was a waste of his dark power, so Horus convinced Daram to let him develop beam techniques when he was in control.

He mimicked Ultramen's L-shaped pose and developed a dark version of the Specium Ray, then other hand beams, and even a dark timer beam.

"These were always my powers! You just developed them. Besides, against space fleets, I never had to do anything before," Darram said.

"That's why you had the weakest position in the Dark Four," Horus replied.

After half a year together, Horus knew Daram's past—he was the weakest in the Dark Four.

Daram protested, but Horus analyzed it thoroughly: any of the other three missing would weaken the team, but if you were missing, any random replacement wouldn't be worse.

"My power now could suppress even the big sister! Even if Dark Tiga appeared, I could fight him," Daram said.

"Together we can beat them."

Horus fired beams and dodged attacks as he spoke.

Daram did have wild power and combat experience, but didn't use his head—he was a reckless brawler, not much better than Daemon Angron.

But who was Horus? He was the first Warmaster, who once, with the blessing of the four Chaos Gods, pushed the Emperor to the brink.

If not for his light side interfering, the Emperor might have died at his hand. Even so, the Emperor was mortally wounded and confined to the Golden Throne.

Having merged with Daram, once his power fully recovered, he'd be even stronger than when empowered by the four Chaos Gods.

"When do we try our new transformation?"

His host was incredibly powerful, almost as strong as the Dark Giant himself, and even more powerful in soul!

After six months fusion, Horus's strength kept growing, and together they'd tried to use the dark power they'd absorbed from the Dark Emperor.

They developed a new fusion transformation.

"Our new form greatly boosts our power, but for these Chaos fleets, this form is more than enough.

The new transformation is our trump card," Horus said.

The new form was a fusion of his power and Daram's dark energy—a perfect transformation, doubled in strength over Daram's normal Dark Giant state. Horus called it the Dark Emperor Form.

Because most of Daram's dark power now came from the Dark Emperor, the transformation could reach its peak.

But it could only last three minutes in space, then he'd revert to human form to recover.

The normal transformation didn't boost power but allowed long-term space survival and good combat strength.

"When do you think is best? We can't finish the battle without showing it off!" Daram said.

He wanted to show off to his master! He'd fused with Horus just to develop new forms.

"Well, let's do it now!" Horus said.

Feel it, Chaos—this is the Emperor's true power, his dark side.

He stood in the center of the Chaos fleet, his body radiating terrifying dark energy, mixed with Chaos power.

Daram's body turned from black-red to dark purple, as the Dark Emperor's power fully erupted.

Black-gold lines covered his body, his face and mask disappeared, revealing a classic egg-shaped head, his body thick and streamlined.

Rhodes looked on in delight at Daram's new form—after merging with Warmaster Horus, a form of unimaginable power.

But in this form, the Dark Emperor's power dominated—Horus should be called the Dark Emperor Avatar now.

"Dark Emperor Annihilation Wave!" Horus wasted no words, curled up, and then exploded outwards, sending a massive energy shockwave through the fleet.

Black dark energy spread from the center, instantly dissolving countless Chaos ships.

The first time the Emperor's dark side showed its fangs.

The terrifying wave caught everyone's attention aboard Macragge's Honour.

The Dark Giant's appearance had changed completely. After destroying most of the Chaos fleet, a set of black armor and a black greatsword appeared on him—the Emperor's dark side revealed to Chaos.

"This! Is this your secret weapon?

Are you planning to use this Dark Giant against me? If I'm not mistaken, that power comes from Father, from his dark side?" Magnus asked.

As the strongest human psyker after the Emperor, he could sense the Dark Giant's power came from the Emperor's dark side.

First the Emperor's avatar, now this dark state—just what is Father up to?

Are you planning to rise from the Golden Throne?
