The Water Police Division is located by the river, approximately 300 meters from the Port Supervision Bureau Traffic Control Center building.
The yard of the Water Police Station is quite large, but the building area is not, consisting only of a two-story office building and a five-story dormitory building, which cannot compare to surrounding units like Port Supervision and Customs.
Yet, such working and living conditions are still better than most district and county police departments. Previously, no one wanted to be Water Police; now who knows how many people are envious.
Since most officers were regularized from contracted police, their education and professional skills might not keep up. In the past two years, the City Bureau has organized professional training and educational enhancement and even transferred six officers from the City Bureau and several district and county police departments.
