Chapter 19 : Sacred Martial Arts: Serpent's Venom

It pulled him until his neck landed in the arm of the man, but even when Tang Feng was in his grasp, he was still able to wear a mocking expression.

"Why are you laughing? Do you want to die?" the guy asked.

"To kill me, just by you, you're not worthy," Tang Feng said, wearing a relaxed expecting smile.

This infuriated our visitor and he almost lost his cool but he calmed down and began laughing.

"Good, good. It's been a long time since someone dare to speak to me like this. What's your name?" the man asked.

Tang Feng found his little act cute so he decided to go along with it. "Luo Zeng."

"Good, Luo Zeng, I'm Xiao Yao and I'm willing to let you go if you kowtow 3 times, apologize and call me grandpa," he said, tightening his grip on Tang Feng's neck, but Tang Feng still gave no reaction to this threat.

This is because he condensed his chi and concentrated it around his neck, greatly reducing the force on his neck like a cushion. Tang Feng still wore a mocking smile on his face.

"Only if you have the ability to make me," Tang Feng said, still going for provocation.

Hearing this must have struck a nerve, because just immediately, Xiao Yao made a move against Tang Feng, a low blow to his abdomen, but Tang Feng saw it coming and blocked it, his throat still locked in Xiao Yao's grip.

Xiao Yao tossed Tang Feng far away and made multiple signs with his hands, ending it with both hands clasped together, with two fingers of each hand, slightly above the other.

"Sacred Martial Arts: Serpent's Venom," he said.

A thick green fog covered the sky and in the fog, two red dots appeared like eyes, after which a huge snake leaped out of the fog, jumping on Tang Feng. As Tang Feng dodged, he realized that beneath them was a village, and the fog was raining poison on it.

He didn't care about it and wanted to quickly finish off this pest, but his body reacted against his will, abandoning his fight and running towards the village in the fog. Once he came out he activated his barrier around the first set of people he saw.

When he did, he turned around to look at the faces of the people he was protecting. With the poison rain falling down at full speed, he saw small family with two kids, a boy and girl, the sight reminded him of Meng'er, his wife and the kids they weren't able to have.

Tang Feng face went blank and time stopped.

"Now you've done it. Su Yan, activate the barrier on a full scale around the village," Tang Feng said.

, Su Yan said, and in just a few seconds, the entire village was covered by a bubble-like barrier.

Tang Feng looked back at the family and smiled, his cold heart now embracing a warm feeling, but it changed immediately when he turned away from them, deactivating his time technique. He didn't want his opponent to have a quick death, he wanted to terrify him and make him fall into despair, the thought of it made him cackle, relieved that he hadn't fully lost his old self.

When time resumed, the poison fog, which fell as rain, was heading towards Tang Feng with the snake tight behind it, blending perfectly in the fog.

"Su Yan, how long can the barrier hold against the poison fog?" Tang Feng asked, walking out of the bubble, and levitating slowly.

"Thank you, sir," the father of the two kids said, as he bowed down to express his gratitude.

Tang Feng said nothing and just continued levitating until he stopped and walked the rest of the way, each step as heavy as a boulder. The sky cracked and the void was revealed with Tang Feng's every step.

Tang Feng was using 10% of his full strength, as he concluded that nobody but Tianzong was worthy of his full strength.

Xiao Yao saw Tang Feng walking slowly towards him, his steps tearing the void, his breath haggard like he just came out of a snow region, and his eyes holding his gaze, with no glow in them.

"Finally ready to fight, huh? Come on," he said and pushed his hand forward. "Kill him," he said, and the serpent increased its speed, slithering like a predator ready to catch its prey.

When it got to Tang Feng, it opened its mouth, its fangs dropping with its poison, ready to devour Tang Feng. Tang Feng only raised his finger and held the nostrils of the serpent.

"What?" Xiao Yao said, clearly surprised with what he just saw, but what happened next got him shaking.

Tang Feng bowed his head, slowly uttering the next words, "Heaven Piercing Thunder Art," his eyes sparkling with lightning, as it oozed from both sides of his eyes.

The sky rumbled softly, followed by a small spark at Tang Feng's fingertips. Tang Feng raised his head, looking at the serpent, and when he did, he pushed his fingertip against the nostril of the serpent, causing the spark to intensify, turning into a jolt of electricity that flowed through the serpent.

As the lightning flowed through the serpent, the aftereffects of the shockwaves that followed tore the serpent apart. First it made a trail of cracks in its scales as the excess electrical energy flowed through it, then after a few seconds, it began exploding, extinguishing the poison fog that had initially enveloped it.

The explosion caused Xiao Yao to spit out a mouthful of blood.

"Impossible, this is impossible," Xiao Yao muttered continuously to himself.

'The effects of his sacred beast being destroyed must have affected him as well,' Tang Feng thought to himself, as Xiao Yao brought out some recovery pills from his storage ring and threw them all into his mouth, biting them all in one go, which caused a huge amount of chi to surround him as he absorbed it and healed his wounds.
