Jace smacked the side of a rocket pod as he fell. He held tightly onto the Dragon's Breath. But as he spun through the air after bouncing off the rocket pod he brought up the tower shield and fell. He was falling toward a bunker and crashed into the concrete roof.
The tower shield took most of the impact but he still lost his breath. Then he began sliding and fell off the rounded roof and landed on an area covered in gravel. He slowly pulled himself up as he disabled the tower shield.
He was feeling a bit disoriented but he was shaking it off as he looked around. There were several concrete barriers and there was an asphalt road running right by where he was. He could also see several of those biomechanical figures standing around. In one of his arms was the Dragon's Breath rotary machine gun with half a charge on its current battery. On his back was his assault rifle which probably had scratches but was still intact.
