...
Still bewildered, Cappie remained seated at the table, her restless fingers drumming lightly on the surface as her eyes fixed on the door through which Theo had disappeared.
"Naughty host..."
She leaned back in her chair, letting out a long sigh. Head tilted back, eyes fixed on the ceiling as if searching for answers, she found herself rambling on alone, her host's actions shattering any idea she had of him.
'This is very different from what I imagined.'
He hadn't fallen for her teasing, he wasn't embarrassed by her jokes and, even worse, he seemed completely immune to her charm.
Even though she knew little about her Host because of the "Law of Confidentiality" imposed by the "Kingdom of Creation", which restricted her access to information about him when she was still there, Cappie hoped that he was more like the others described in the old archives she had studied. Archives that told the stories of many hosts, and among those many, there were the shy ones, who stammered in front of a beautiful woman, who blushed at a simple compliment.
But Theo? He was different.
And that intrigued her. She wanted to understand why he was the way he was.
"Uh?"
Theo, who was already back, after simply changing using magic, noticed a little discontent in Cappie.
"What's with the disappointed look? Wasn't lunch able to fill your belly? If you want more, there's plenty left."
No matter what the world, a woman's hunger apparently remains the same.
That was his thought when he saw her like that.
But Cappie didn't even mind his words. His eyes were locked on her new look.
Theo was now wearing an impeccably cut black shirt with no prints, which contrasted perfectly with her white light fabric pants and black lace-up sneakers. A simple look, but one that exuded a discreet elegance, highlighting his haughty posture and striking features.
"Are you going out, Host?"
"...From now on, call me Theo. This 'host' business doesn't suit me. And yes, I'm going out. I have some things to sort out."
Her eyes sparkled as she opened her mouth to ask.
"I... Can I come too?"
Theo looked at her.
"Hmm! Are you going to cause trouble?"
"No, I promise."
"All right, then. But we have to see your clothes first."
Just as Theo was about to use his magic to create a set of clothes for her.
Cappie pulled up a chair, excited.
"Ah! Don't worry... I have a way. Zing! Zimg! Shazam!"
In the blink of an eye, a magical changing booth appeared around her, enveloping her completely. Rays of colored light shone through the gaps, and when the booth dissipated, Cappie emerged looking completely new, and absurdly beautiful.
She was now wearing a tight, eye-catching one-piece jumpsuit, predominantly white, which molded perfectly to her curvaceous body. The ribbon around her neck and the red sleeves gave her a unique touch of charm. The blue belt marked her waist with precision, keeping the look between functional and provocative.
Blue gloves covered her hands, hiding her ever-restless fingers, and on her legs, white stockings came almost to her knees.
And, of course, the iconic blue cap with cat ears was still there, tilted slightly to the side, like a signature of his irreverent personality.
She crouched in front of him, flashing a mischievous smile, and raised her gloved hand in a mischievous gesture of greeting.
"So, what did you think? If it's not very good, I'll swap it for something else you know... spicy... I've got plenty of options with me, you want to see?"
Theo watched her in silence for a long second before letting out a deep sigh, rubbing the space between his eyebrows.
"I want to regret it, that's for sure."
"Tehe! Say, your heart's racing now, right? Host, if you want, I can... There!"
She massaged the spot on her forehead that had been hit by the flying stab.
"I told you, call me Theo."
"Master T..."
She was about to joke again, but when she saw Theo pretend to jab her forehead again, she gave up.
"Without the honorific."
"...Theo."
"Good. I'll call you Cappie. Is that all right?"
"Really?"
His eyes lit up like fireworks, and a genuine smile appeared on his lips.
"I know it's a nickname from my world, if you don't like it, I can call you by your name."
"No, no. I really like it. It's a different name from the others. You can call me Cappie. Better still, only you can call me that."
Theo smiled at the answer.
"Only me, huh? It's like a privilege."
"Yes, it is."
Cappie stood up with a smug look on her face, spinning on her heels to show off her look.
"After all, I'm yours, so surely only you can call me that. You must be very happy to have an interdimensional beauty of your own, huh!"
"Modest is good too, you know."
He commented, crossing his arms.
"Modesty is for the weak and ugly."
"And problems are caused by the overconfident."
"Hey! I promised I wouldn't cause any!"
She protested, puffing out her cheeks like an annoyed child.
"I'm just reminding you."
He said, approaching her. He intended to use teleportation magic to get to Seoul.
"Shall we?"
He approached, holding out his hand. It was time for them to leave.
Cappie wasted no time. In one excited leap, she was at his side, hugging his arm with a victorious smile.
"..."
"It's... just to make sure the magic works properly."
Even though he knew it was a lame excuse, after all, his magic would never go wrong, Theo didn't dispute it.
'If an interdimensional beauty like her clings to you of her own free will, what's left for a man to do but accept?'
"Hiiik!"
Cappie jumped a little when Theo, in one swift movement, wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her even closer.
"That's more secure. You know, any mistake in the transfer frequency could be... disastrous."
If she wanted to play, he'd pay her back in kind.
With the girl's face now flushed and her eyes wide, Theo activated
