The guild hall had gone silent.
All eyes turned toward Hazuki as he walked in.
He blinked.
"…Ridan? What's wrong with them?"
The spirit on his shoulder floated a little higher, scanning the room with lazy eyes.
"Hah? Like I know. Probably all oogling the receptionist girl up front."
Hazuki looked toward the front desk.
One of the beastkin receptionists, was organizing papers, ears twitching under the pressure of so many glances.
Hazuki nodded slightly.
"Oh yeah. Now that you mention it… she's got a good curve."
His voice was flat. No real tone of interest. Just an observation.
Ridan glanced down at him, mildly surprised.
"…No comment about her tail?"
Hazuki shrugged.
"She's not like Ellyn."
He said it so casually.
"Her skin's more furred. Not my type."
Ridan smirked.
"Man of specific tastes, huh?"
"Yeah. Smooth skin, cat ears, maybe a tail. But not full fur. Pass."
Behind them, a few adventurers who overheard blinked in shock.
