Chapter 3 - Scrap

Eve and Simone stood facing each other with unfriendly looks. Eve's of hostility, Simone's of pure mockery.

"It's sad how you couldn't even stop a little one like him from destroying your place." She teased.

"And I find it sad how there isn't a single use to your existence. Showman? That's a stupid way to make a legacy." Eve retaliated.

"At least I get to live past a hundred years-" Simone's words came to a halt suddenly, with an obsidian dagger being in a position ready to slide her throat open.

"I'll never understand your yapping. You're not infinite and you're definitely below me." Eve said in a cold voice hidden behind an aggravated smile. "Any other problems?"

Simone simply took a deep breath, and disappeared in a moment, suddenly behind Eve. Eve spun quickly and drew her gun, fired a shot but missed as Simone disappeared into the air again.

"Uh oh! Am I gonna have a good meal tonight? I've always wondered what you tasted like, bitch!"

She put her gun back in her jacket, and dropped the dagger. "Or we can do this the fun way. Hands only. I doubt you'd fight though....I'm the worst of us for a reason~"

Eve stood quietly in the middle of the room, hands in her pockets while holding a nonchalant stance. She smiled, and this was irritating for everyone, most especially Simone.

Just as Eve was about to give up, Simone suddenly appeared behind her, ready to dive into her neck with a dagger made with solified magma and Oritu, Eve turned around with terrifying speed, and slammed Simone down into the ground.

"Rule number one! I can smell you guys, and your lavender scent is way too easy!" She yelled as she then kicked Simone hard as she flew out the window, chasing her without hesitation.

Simone quickly got her stance right in midair, landing in an invisible bed of flowers, stopping time just as Eve was about to land another devastating kick.

But Simone relaxed too soon, as Eve started to move slowly, then finally landed her kick, barely missing Simone by an inch. Simone resumed time and threw a Sunfire spell at her face. But Eve shrugged it off.

"Rule number two! Magic can't do shit to me! I'm Evellyn fucking Reese!" She yelled again as she grabbed Simone by the head and threw her through two cities. Jumping from the flower bed and running towards Simone's location.

Simone tried constructing multiple layered dimensional barriers. But we're quickly shattered halfway through by a punch from Eve. But before she was able to escape, Eve grabbed her by the collar and was ready to blow a hole into her head.

"Rule number three!" Her fingers itched to pull the trigger, and Simone was ready for the shot as she closed her eyes and braced, but heard nothing.

Slowly opening her eyes she looked at Eve, who looked more disappointed than disgusted. "This was a sad fight, dude you can do a shitton of things, so why the hell were you struggling?"

Simone simply went back to her smug look. The anxiety she was hiding barely showing. "You're getting impressive Evellyn, thought I'd give you a win-"

"BULL-SHIT!"

Eve interrupted with a bored tone. "I came to eat a diamond, not get a petty beat down on your ass. Besides, if you were being serious we coulda wiped out like thirteen cities this night."

Simone rolled her eyes and got up dusting moonshade off her clothes. "Next time you'll lose a limb if I ever took you seriously. I just like playing with you."

"Uh huh...." Eve answered unbothered, looking around the city. "Where the hell did we even land?"

Simone looked around for a bit, before her eyes landed on a skyscraper that barely touched the midnight clouds. "Notorisa City I guess....wait don't you live here?"

"I'm pretty sure my mom's awake, she has this dinner thing for her birthday and I hate being around people so....."

".... understandable...I guess?" Simone answered confused, but didn't bother thinking past that part.

Eve waited for a while as Simone prepared a portal, but started to lose her patience. "When will it be ready, Simm?" She whined like a dissatisfied four year old.

"It'll be ready when it's ready. Do you have any idea how hard it is to craft portal runes into a temple that dispels most magic?" Simone answered irritated. Of course on a normal occasion this will be easy for someone on Simone's level. But after getting an ass whooping, stopping time, crafting at least twelve dimensional barriers, and getting thrown through at least two cities, of course she'd have trouble.

Eve looked around and started to mimic Simone as she was drawing her rune spell. But as always, it didn't work.

After a few awkward moments of silence, the portal finally opened with a satisfactory whoosh. Sparks of Elimou flying around as the pitch black portal lined with a violet shade, swirling the space around it slightly.

"Ugh finally!" The two called out at the same time, giving each other a look before jumping into the portal.

The temple was an unnerving mix between a fallen city and a haunting ruin. The stench of dead creatures filled the room, the poor lighting barely illuminating the room. Subtle flames lit up as the two landed on a crumbling alter, a stell plate in the middle almost toppling over.

Eve was about to jump, when Simone held her midway, hinting at the statues that were holding all kinds of weapons and the baseplates that'll most likely trigger their movement.

"Eve shrugged and came down gently and kept walking long enough to keep Simone at ease. The two walked for a while before they noticed Goldi and Danny standing at the entrance of a giant stone door.

Danny and Goldi hinted at Eve to keep quiet, whispering about the Fallen Knight that protected the gem behind the doors.

"What's the worst that could happen? I mean...I'm here for a reason. I mean we have Goldi - a literal dimensional witch. Danny's a fuck you guy, and then there's Simone, fuck everything we ball." Eve boasted loudly before pushing the stone doors open, only to receive a big arrow fly past her ear and barely hit her.

"Well....that's a disappointing way to meet a new gal." She said in a humble voice before looking directly at the Fallen Knight.

It was a giant stone statue of a Holy Knight which was left behind to protect the people of this forgotten city. It's face was broken off and hollow, its sword in its right arm, and it's left crumbled nad broken off.

"Wait...." Eve slowly widened her eyes when she noticed the left arm was crumbled.

When she first walked in she noticed there were no other statues part from the Knight. But now statues of archers lined the walls of the room. Both the arms of the Knight were also crumbled, not just the left.

"You've gotta be kidding me. Nice joke guys." She said loudly, mildly irritated. "As much as I like laughs there's really.....no need-"

Her words came to a stop as she noticed two people in suits standing where her people were. One was an Aquar, the other a Monster.

"Suits. Of course I got played by fuckin suits." Eve groaned in annoyance in her mind.

The Aquar had a pink shade to her skin, barely transparent but still see through to a point. Her hair had a reddish tint to it and came in cascading waves. Her glass-like beady eyes shone with a terrifying bit shimmering glare.

The monster looked like a hulking mass between a bear and a lion with a proper stance. His furry brown skin complimented his mane that shone with the light from the flames behind them. He held a dagger that looked like a sun. With it's orange glaze and it's fire redstone, it had a magnificent look, and had the core of a dying sun in it.

"I didn't think they'd need something as fancy as that to kill me. Then again...I doubt it'd do anything though." The Eclipse was a dagger that was considered 'legendary' a few thousand years ago. Seeing as many who looked at it could almost immediately lose their sight, or even if they did see past its blinding light, holding it alone would eviscerate anyone who even came close to it.

"Something like that could do something devastating either way, so for now...I guess I coukd pretend-" Eve thoufht for a while, looking clueless more than anything.

"Oh, Suits! Thank The Guardians. I was starting to think I wouldn't be able to get out of here." Eve said in both a worried and sweet voice as she ran towards their direction.

"Pretend as much as you can, and pray they dumb!"
