Chapter 94 - Ruo Xi's Rebirth

Apart from the unfolding domestic events, the Mars research team returned to Earth—bodies intact, but not unchanged as nearly 5 out of 45 people died. Among the more perplexing elements in their debrief was a report detailing an incident involving one of their auxiliary space vehicles: its structural hull, once ruptured beyond repair by micro-meteoroid impact, appeared to spontaneously restore itself—as if time had momentarily reversed within a confined bubble of space.

The phenomenon was classified, yet it bore eerie similarity to an earlier incident that occurred nearly a decade ago in the country where Han Chen resided. A resonance too precise to dismiss.

In both cases, the official narrative wavered. What had initially been recorded as a fatal accident—deaths due to micrometeorite penetration—was quietly re-evaluated. Rumors surfaced: the incident may have involved external intervention, possibly from the same unidentified forces responsible for a string of supernatural disturbances.

Some accused unknown actors of orchestrating these deaths to cover deeper anomalies, while others suggested it was the same force trying to shift the blame away from itself through misdirection. Some organizations world wide have begun to have discussions to deal with such over powered forces or aliens hiding among public.

Parallel to these incidents, religious extremist groups began co-opting the supernatural occurrences into their own apocalyptic frameworks. Every anomaly—be it vanishing records of people or matter, healing spaceframes, people falling into misfortune or spontaneous combustion—was claimed as divine proof. The more radical sects and militant theocracies went further, staging violent attacks both domestically and abroad under the guise of prophecy fulfillment of end of world and so on. For a time, chaos reigned in rhetoric and reality.

Yet during this volatile period, Han Chen—under Yue Lan's counsel to "account for every soul he had taken"—intervened time and again upon their insistence. Using his gifts, he and the girls disarmed explosives, contained incidents, and prevented mass casualty events across multiple continents. Not actively of-course but while on their travels or whenever such events come under their sensing ranges.

In many ways, he became the silent redeemer of his mortal sins, saving far more lives than he had ever taken. His actions weren't seen, but the absence of disaster often told its own story.

Interestingly, as more of these extremist factions found their plans inexplicably foiled—and watched their so-called deities appear to favor others outside their ideology—their influence began to wane.

No thunder came in answer to their prayers. No fire fell from the sky. Their narratives unraveled in the absence of affirmation, and one by one, these groups dissolved into irrelevance, leaving behind only the silence of failed conviction. But more and more people who learned of past events that governments tried to hide began to believe they are living in a simulation or the end is near.

>>>

Years moved on.

His realm reaching its peak. He often feels he crossed a certain threshold, especially after his time and space law layers also reached 50th layer, and his domain tend to increase unnaturally sometimes.

His wives are taking a few years to prepare mentally for their first tribulations. Han Chen further made them undergone body training to the unlocked gates realm just to have the option for future progress in body cultivation even after Golden Core realm. It was extremely painful for them and mentally taxing but Han Chen was there to help them stabilize and took well over two years in sped up time array.

Aside from all this;

Han Chen witnessed his sister's transformation. Though she cared deeply for him, her innocence had faded. The girl who once clung to his sleeve is no where. In its place stood a sharp, assertive young woman with her own conviction about the world's affairs.

She often said, half-jokingly but not without conviction,

"I'll only date someone who can match my brother," she would declare, eyes gleaming with mischief and steel. "Not just his looks ~ his martial prowess, his presence, even that mysterious aura he carries around like expensive cologne."

During her second year of high school, she broke her own rule. The boy was weak, and a nerd unlike any and is like a trembling leaf in her presence, though his mature look and facial features had initially caught her attention. Traditional relationship dynamics crumbled under her overwhelming power and even intelligence.

Daily interactions became a delicate dance where she constantly held back, while jealous rivals circled him like vultures, hurling threats his way. Her unconscious comparisons to Han Chen ~ his status, his strength ~ carved wounds deeper than any blade for that boy even though he came from a reputed business family. The relationship died within months, suffocated by its own impossibility.

Outside of her relationships, her crusade against Han Chen's polygamous lifestyle burned with righteous fury upon figuring it out in one biological class. She cornered his wives regularly from then on, delivering lectures on female empowerment with the passion of a revolutionary and the drama of a stage performer.

Their parents had whispered the truth ~ her brother was likely the strongest individual walking the Earth. But strength meant nothing when family honor was at stake. Someone especially as his sister, she had to convince these women how lecherous Han Chen was, flouting social customs by keeping both. She is perhaps the only one who calls Han Chen face to face like that and still get to live.

The world beyond her family's protection proved harsh.

Creeps and societal biases stalked her like persistent shadows. Initially, Han Chen had whispered instructions: "Call my name in your mind when danger approaches." Coincidences began following her as she did ~ predators suddenly distracted by others, would-be attackers slipping on mysteriously placed banana peels, voyeurs and filmers have their phone burst in hands, threats dissolving into embarrassing mishaps or outright tragedy.

Gradually, confidence bloomed in her chest. She stopped relying on invisible protection, began handling matters with her own hands. Seven years of advanced spiritual martial arts training, guidance from Han Chen and their parents, and constant exposure to ambient spiritual energy had forged her into something unprecedented. Her realm advanced faster than any other talented individual on Earth.

Mid-stage Martial Master at seventeen. Her aptitude for martial training defied measurement. She is exact opposite of Han Chen. Quite outspoken, a little show off and having friends online and offline, and confident in her own standing and strength but she holds the principle of having secrets of strength to herself in public. As it is the one major thing her brother taught her from whenever she could remember.

Ruo Xi's Discovery

Discovery came by accident ~ or perhaps by design. The underground high-tech laboratory cum bunker beneath Han Chen's mansion revealed itself during one of her explorations or let's say sneak in. The array didn't restrict her.

Equipment hummed with possibilities, screens displayed biological enhancement formulas that made government research look like children's finger painting. The entire bunker felt something from the far future.

In that moment, another piece of the puzzle clicked into place—her brother wasn't just brilliant, he was the hidden architect behind the biotech breakthroughs that Dr. Sophia claimed credit for, though no one had believed the connection before.

The Demand

Ruo Xi's demand was simple: she wanted the enhancement for herself.

Han Chen's annoyance crashed against her iron determination like waves against an unmoving cliff. For an entire year, her relentless persistence wore down his and her parents resistance until they finally relented. The procedure would happen in absolute secrecy, far from government oversight and prying eyes.

Only Han Chen witnessed her transformation. As the process began, he shared crucial warnings: her future children would inherit these enhanced genetics, she'd need to avoid government blood tests and genetic screenings, and most importantly, she'd have to learn to manage a dramatically extended lifespan.

The Science Behind the Miracle

Han Chen, he would feel dull if he doesn't use his enhanced intellect often so this serum optimization had become his passion project in free time ~ unlocking maximum human potential without relying on exotic substances but the research had already ventured beyond conventional science of the century or even the millennium.

Having the ability of material transformation means you don't have to be dependent on others to make technologies possible.

His breakthrough was revolutionary: incorporating biological fields generated through innate Qi manipulation, exponentially amplifying the serum's power beyond any traditional biological optimization.

These fields operated as derivative applications of lower-layer law energy, generated by cellular genetics themselves. While only those who truly understood the science and the Law energy could utilize it fully or even attempt to understand it, others would still benefit from biological fields that could distribute force and cushion impacts like protective barriers.

The enhancement was so perfected that Han Chen had applied the same genetics to himself. Instead of relying on Qi techniques to distribute forces in a fight or defend automatically, the field does a wonderful job in doing just that as soon as the mind visualize it.

However, there was also a critical requirement—only individuals with Martial Master equivalent strength could survive and even benefit from the enhancement process, and the genetics would even transfer as dominant traits to offspring. In order to prevent Qi backlash during transformation someone like Han Chen is needed, so even if someone in future experimented, it will be difficult as hell to undergo even if they figured the secret of the genetics.

Ruo Xi's Rebirth

It was her 18th birthday gift. The transformation rewrote Ruo Xi's cellular structure from the ground up. Her strength increased to 2 units—approaching the level Hye Won had achieved when entering the foundation building realm. Her endurance stretched beyond human comprehension, her lifespan extended into centuries, and every bodily function optimized to superhuman efficiency.

Her reproductive and hormonal capabilities were enhanced to match Han Chen and his wives, while her metabolism became a masterpiece of biological engineering. Skin is dense but appear soft hiding all the power within.

She won't be poisoned nor get drunk easily unless she learned to manipulate her Qi to reduce metabolism. The most remarkable advancement was energy conversion—stellar radiation could now transform directly into chemical energy without genetic degradation, reducing her need for food to almost nothing while complementing her elevated metabolism.

It didn't power herself directly but aid in training.

Power Beyond Classification

Through principles of essence transformation, this energy channeled into martial Qi enhancement, complete with safety mechanisms preventing uncontrollable backlash. She could now train simply by standing in sunlight, circulating Qi without movement or any need of consuming essence-rich meat. Her biological field would grow alongside her Qi realm.

While sunlight training couldn't match raw spiritual energy absorption for cultivation, it provided perfect complementary power. She wouldn't become an overpowered fiction character, but now possessed an exceptionally high chance of crossing the martial saint barrier and venturing into grand sovereign or even martial deity realms—power comparable to a regular Nascent Soul cultivator, given her increased lifespan and young age accomplishments.

However, limitations remained. This power wouldn't enable reality-detaching ascension, which required true cultivation law layer comprehension. She would possess raw power and basic law manipulation through martial arts, but not the depth of a genuine Nascent Soul practitioner.

...

She was not in Han Chen's previous life, so he felt her extremely unique add to that the quite moments he was allowed that sisterly love she had, that's why he gave her such enhancement. It was more than her birthday gift, also a parting gift.

Even for his parents, deep within himself he felt nothing more than a copy of the previous life, that's why he didn't help them as much. Their age will eventually caught up with their advancement in realm slowing it down significantly but not her.

He left her a chance to achieve life span of 20,000 or more years in her peak cultivation. If she survives her tribulations she will practically be a God to the humanity of the future. So is her descendants though not as much as her. The planet won't have the ability to support such population of super humans, and genetics will breakdown their potential to sustainable levels with each generations as its primary goal is not to increase life level.

The result defied classification. Officially a Martial Master, she now possessed power sufficient to obliterate a Grandmaster with casual effort. A Qi penetrating bullet won't enter her cellular field. Her realm acceleration bordered on the impossible ~ two months saw her progression from middle to late stage Martial Master, power condensing like starlight into diamond.

The New Reality

But raw power demanded mastery.

Unlike martial strength that required natural harmony between control and release, this power had arrived so suddenly and needed careful management. As of now, she has twice the theoretical maximum punching force of a Enlightened Grand Master realm peak. Steel beds crumpled like paper when she tried to maintain balance, titanium railings twisted in her unconscious grip.

Only thing not crush-able in her opinion was either Han Chen's or her sisters hands and shoulders. It was that bad initially. She needed at least two days to properly walk by herself.

For two months, she remained with Han Chen under medical leave from school, learning perfect strength control. The learning curve left casualties: three chairs, a dining table, four room doors, portions of walls and ceiling, and several unfortunate trees all required replacement apart from her Father's shoulder bones which Han Chen later healed.

Han Chen meticulously trained her martial arts to perfectly balance power during sudden attacks and everyday tasks, even unconsciously, ensuring her biological field would learn to minimize harm to others.

Only a couple of months left till exams so she returned to her studies after the training.

The girl who had stumbled upon a secret laboratory had emerged as something entirely new—enhanced, powerful, and ready to reshape her destiny.
