Chapter 46 - -chap16, continue1-

"Hic–Hic," I cry as I walk past the tree where Tytas is gone, fuck.

Then I walk through the woods, away from the mad scene, no. I can't. I can't live anymore. I can't stay silent and keep living like nothing happened. I can't. I look at the hand that clenches it so hard. I open my fist and see the knife—Valcom gave me his knife. Then the fog in my head and my ears start to fade out, 'It was an accident…I didn't try to kill her. I was ordered to take her, that was all,'

"Ha—ha," I breath shortly,

'He will kill you anyway,' Valcom said and gave me the knife.

"Ha—" I try to breathe, and I turn back. I will not live like this anymore," I say, about to run back the same way. "AH!" And then someone holds me.

"No! Zia, We have to go," Tytas says as he holds me so tight,

"NO!" I scream, "Let me go!"

"Hey, what are you doing? We have to go!" Then Vik shows up,

"Let me go! I have to save him!" I say,

"You can't save him. He's going to die." Vik says,

"No, I won't let that happen!" I say,

"Zia, please, we have to go,"

"No—no—let me go—" I say and jump, trying to be free from Tytas' arms, and then I punch him in the face, "I can't live without him. Don't you understand?" I say angrily,

Tytas looks at me, "I'm sorry for what my mum did to you and your mother,"

"Let me go!" I scream,

"But Zia, we have to go—I can't let you die,"

"I don't care! Hic-Hic, please, I want to be with him," I beg,

Then Vik comes in between and touches Tytas, "Let her go,"

"What? NO!" Tytas scolds,

"Let her go!" Vik scolds back, "We need to—you need to let her go, dude," Vik says and holds Tytas back, letting my body be free for a second, and I run. "Stop, if he was her and you were her, you would do the same,"

I run to the hell and back to the hell again. I care no shit what I have stepped on, branches, rocks, glasses, or even nails. I pray for not to hear the sound of the gunfire. Valcom gave me the knife to protect myself after Welton killed Zygmunt, but if you want to kill him, you have to kill me, too.

I still have the chance.

This is my story, our story. If he dies, I die. If he lives, I don't mind if I perish because that is my destiny. I embrace that fucking fate.

I jump to the man with the gun and use the knife to step to his shoulder lightly to his neck, "FU—CK!!!!" Welton screams, and the gun shoots accidentally. Zygmunt hurriedly gets up and kicks Welton's face to fall down. As I fall,

"Zia," Zygmunt says and quickly runs to me. I pull the knife out and turn Welton's body to me as he covers his wound. Then I stab him right on his neck.

"Arg!!" Welton chokes on his blood as he looks right into my eyes,

"Zia—" Zygmunt comes to me, "Zia," he calls out my name,

"Ha—" I gasp and turn to him, holding him instantly. "Zygmunt," I say his name, turn him around, and untie the rope.

I lose the rope just a little bit, then he snatches out on his own, turns to me, and hugs me so tight, "Oh fuck—Zia, you shouldn't—you shouldn't come back—I told you—not to look back. Fuck, I thought—I thought—"

"Hic–hic–I thought I lost you," I say,

"Me too, me too," he says and grabs my body as he wants to be inside me. We hold each other so tight, "You're fucking stubborn, lady." he says,

"I can't live without you," I say, and my tears come down as he holds my face and kisses me.

The body of Welton is freezing, "ha—ha," he tries so hard to scream the word but the blood is bursting out from his mouth and his neck.

Creek,

Then, we turn to the man who creates the sound. Valcom stands and witnesses everything. He stands still, watching us. Zygmunt lets go of my body and turns to Valcom. I look at Valcom's face. He isn't scared, but he tries to say something. I grab Zygmunt's hand.

"If you don't tell, I won't," I tell Valcom.

Zygmunt holds my hand back properly and shifts his eyes to me. Valcom knows what I mean. I pull Zygmunt closer and look up to see his eyes, which are full of dirt and blood. "Go home with me?" I ask; he nods, touching my hair and cheek, "Don't let go of me," I say,

"Never," he says and holds me in. We turn to see Welton, and his eyes are still open, looking at us. "It's okay," he says to me, and I turn my face away from Welton.

Creek–POW!

"Ha—" I gasp and quickly turn to see Zygmunt, who looks at me madly concerned. "Zyg—" I call him lightly, and I turn to Welton, who is holding the gun, but the man in black is in between.

Valcom slowly falls down and kneels to the ground. He turns to me slowly. "We're—even," he says. As I'm about to walk to him, Zygmunt grabs me. I look at Valcom, trying to stand again, approaching Welton. He takes the gun from Welton's hand and looks back at me, "Go," he says, and then Zygmunt takes me away from the finale. He holds me in as we walk together into the woods.

POW!!

The final shot ends.
