After finally reaching the light at the end of the tunnel, Solvi ran for days.
She crossed mountain passes where the wind sang tunes. Slept in old shrines to forgotten gods, the spring rains pouring around her.
Solvi even spotted a new city forming. It was quickly becoming known as the Royal Capitol. A city that was the face of the future.
But Sol didn't dare go there. Too many people, too many ideals that wouldn't match even closely to hers. Perhaps they would order her execution too if they saw what she was capable of.
All the while, she wrote in her notebook, using the smallest font her hand could possibly create.
Her thoughts strayed away from her past life. From the love she'd thought was real. From her mother. From her lost home.
Instead, she thought of all the things she'd put off for so long.
Sometimes, Sol wondered if she was truly gifted, or if someone was placing these thoughts in her mind.
