Chapter 155 - Chapter 135: This Bad Woman’s Acting Is Too Good!!!

"This... this..." Sister Zoe pointed to the garage, her eyes wide with disbelief, her voice hesitant.

"What's wrong?" Jay asked in return.

"This car? It parked itself in the garage? And the garage door opened automatically to let it in?"

"That's nothing special. Both the garage and the car are controlled by the Chang'e system," Jay shrugged. "So you can leave it all to Chang'e. After you get a car, I can install the Chang'e system in yours too. Let you enjoy this kind of smart life."

"This is way too powerful..." Sister Zoe muttered.

She thought Jay was just being boastful when he said earlier that the Chang'e system was better than Tesla's. But now she could clearly see—it was leagues ahead.

"If this gets made public, the whole world will go crazy again!" Sister Zoe clicked her tongue.

"Ahem, no need for that just yet. Better to keep things low-key and enjoy it ourselves," Jay replied.

"Oh, right, right." Sister Zoe quickly nodded in agreement. Whatever Jay said, she'd always go along with it.

After entering the house, the two prepared to wash up and get some rest. Suddenly, Sister Zoe got the urge to post on social media:

"A friendly reminder to all my viewers—make sure to eat before playing Sekiro! I fainted after my stream from hunger and had to be taken to the hospital. (Facepalm emoji)"

Plenty of night owls were still online, and once they saw the post, the comments section exploded:

"Wait, seriously?!"

"No way. How does an adult like Sister Zoe pass out from hunger?!"

"It's true—I was at that hospital. I even got a photo with her!"

A photo was quickly posted in the replies, confirming the story was real.

"You guys don't even know—Jay was panicking, rushing her in like something serious had happened. The doctor took one look and said it was low blood sugar from hunger. The whole waiting room burst out laughing!"

"LOL, Jay must've been mortified."

"Sister Zoe, your brother is too good to you!"

"I'm dying—this story is comedy gold."

Reading the comments, Sister Zoe grumbled, "These fans really know how to dig up the most embarrassing stuff..."

Jay noticed her mumbling. "What are you muttering over there?"

"Nothing, nothing!" she quickly shook her head. Jay mustn't see these posts, or he'd lose it on the spot.

"Alright, go to sleep," Jay said, not pressing further.

At 7 a.m. the next morning, IGN released its review for Deep Sea Trek.

Unsurprisingly, just like Silent Hill PT, it received a perfect 10/10.

Review Summary:

Deep Sea Trek is the gold standard for open-world survival games. Under the powerful engine of [New World], its immersive, realistic environments—from the sea's surface to the eerie depths—offer players a haunting, unforgettable experience. Coupled with a touching narrative, this game defines the peak of its genre.

There was simply no flaw to criticize. IGN didn't even receive a review copy or any contact from [New World], and yet, they had no choice but to hand out a perfect score.

The IGN review was instantly embraced by players around the world. Most agreed: Deep Sea Trek deserved more than 10 points—if the scale allowed.

Meanwhile, fans eagerly anticipated the release of Sekiro later that night.

At dinnertime, in a family home somewhere in China, a mother was cooking, the father watching TV, and the son doing homework.

Once dinner was ready, all three gathered at the table.

"Oh wow, look at you two being helpful," the mother said with surprise.

The father and son exchanged glances, as if sharing a secret plan.

Eventually, the son spoke up: "Mom, I want to learn martial arts."

"Martial arts?" She raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you just finish learning swimming on the VR headset?"

"Well, people change interests!" he replied. "And swimming paid off—I took second in the school competition!"

"That's true," the mom admitted. The $499 VR swimming training had indeed worked.

The dad chimed in, "Learning martial arts is good for health. It's not a bad thing."

"I just don't want it affecting his studies. Plus, real martial arts classes are expensive," the mom said.

"I can learn on the VR headset!" the son waved his hands. "No school needed!"

"How much?" she asked.

"Still $4... I mean, $520!" the father interrupted smoothly. "Makes sense, martial arts costs more than swimming."

"Wait a second," the mom looked at him. "How do you know all this?"

"Because our son told me his dream ahead of time!" the dad responded seriously. "I looked into it. It's made by the same company that made the swimming program. Their stuff is top-notch!"

After a moment's thought, the mother nodded. "Alright, it's not too expensive. You can try it."

The dad and son gave each other a covert fist bump under the table.

Later that night...

"Why did you raise the price?!" the son hissed.

"I need cigarette money!" the dad replied.

"You conned me into asking Mom and raised the price too?! Shame on you!"

The dad looked sheepish but said nothing.

Time passed quickly, and as 8 p.m. approached, players everywhere put on their VR gear and logged into the New World platform.

The moment struck—Sekiro went live.

"Would you like to purchase Sekiro?" Tifa's voice asked sweetly.

"BUY!!!" players shouted in unison.

Unlike the overloaded servers of other platforms, New World's release was smooth and fast. Purchases were instant, downloads rapid, and the game launched seamlessly.

Players became the one-armed Wolf, and the first thing they noticed was:

"This body feels amazing!"

"A single jump clears two meters!"

"A punch echoes like thunder!"

They were blown away.

When the tutorial began, and the character Yongjin dropped a letter into the well, whispering, "For the sake of your master… awaken," the juxtaposition with their character hopping like a maniac was hilarious.

"He's hopping up and down with joy. What's this about being lost and confused?!"

Then came the climbing section. Those who watched Sister Zoe struggle with it yesterday hesitated at first… until they realized:

"Wait, the cliff sucks you in—you can't fall!"

"The old thief really gave us a break!"

"I thought Sister Zoe was insane for scaling this—turns out the game helps!"

"She totally faked it during the stream!"

"What a scam! I even sent her a tip!"

"This bad woman's acting is TOO GOOD!"
