Dear Diary,
Today might just go down as the CUTEST day of my entire life.
Min-jun and I started setting up the baby's nursery.
Yes. OUR baby. Our daughter. Still not over that, by the way.
We decided to convert the guest room into her little space. Which sounds simple, but actually involved:
Three hours of choosing the right shade of pastel (mint vs. peach vs. lavender)
Two hours of building a crib (okay, watching Min-jun build it while I cheered and ate cookies)
Thirty minutes of trying to convince Min-jun that a pink bunny nightlight is NOT "too much sparkle"
And then came the most important part.
Her name.
We sat in the middle of the half-decorated room, paint smudged on our clothes and cheeks, surrounded by baby books and sticky notes.
I held up one note. "How about Eun-ha? It means 'galaxy.'"
Min-jun grinned. "Our little star girl."
Then he flipped through a book and whispered, "What if we call her Soo-ah? It means 'pure and beautiful.'"
We ended up tossing around like a hundred names—everything from Ji-yoo to Min-seo to Arin. And at some point, we were laughing so hard over a name that meant "noodle" (thanks, Dae-hyun) that I cried actual tears.
After a while, he put his hand over my belly and said softly,
> "We'll know when we meet her."
And somehow, that felt right.
We ended the night cuddled under a big blanket, watching the stars through our window, dreaming of who she'll look like, what her laugh will sound like, and how she'll totally have Min-jun wrapped around her tiny little finger.
And I just knew—whatever we name her, she'll be our brightest light.
