Chapter 144 - Chapter 144: Potion Collection (2) (Bonus Chapter)

## Orli

"Professor, may I inquire where those decent quality potions are destined to be used?"

Orli gazed at the potion bottles, feeling an idea stirring within her.

These were merely potion assignments for first to third-year students. Including the upper years, the quantity would be substantial. Furthermore, the higher the year, the more advanced their potion assignments become. If all these could be funneled into her system for recovery... Orli could practically feel a surge of contribution points flooding her way.

# Snape

"You call this garbage 'decent quality'?"

Snape snorted disdainfully, yet he answered her question:

# Snape

"The Board of Governors typically sells those that aren't lethal at a low price to offset the cost of potion materials squandered by those troll-like students in class."

## Orli

"You should know... I'm also dabbling in a potion acquisition business..."

Orli ventured cautiously,

## Orli

"If I can buy back those quality potions at thirty percent above market value, do you think the Board of Governors might consider collaborating with me?"

# Snape

"You?"

Snape turned his head to glance at her:

# Snape

"The school produces thousands of potion bottles each academic year. How much can you handle?"

## Orli

"All of them."

Orli declared confidently.

# Snape

"Lucius Malfoy has always been the one to reclaim the school's potions."

Snape said in a low tone,

# Snape

"He doesn't buy these potions out of charity, you understand?"

## Orli

"You mean Lucius Malfoy deliberately suppresses the price to acquire student-brewed potions for profit?"

Orli immediately grasped the implication in his words.

## Orli

"But the Board of Governors isn't solely dictated by him. If I can offer a higher price, I'm sure the Board would be thrilled to see Hogwarts generate profit from Potions class."

# Snape

"You aim to encroach on the Malfoy family's business."

Snape regarded her, his gaze darkening:

# Snape

"A Gryffindor running a small overseas potion shop, daring to challenge Lucius's business? Do you even comprehend what thirty percent above market price entails? He can bankrupt you with a mere flick of his finger!"

## Orli

"Rest assured, Professor, my business is impervious to his influence. I'm not acting on impulse. Even if it weren't Lucius Malfoy buying back potions, I'd still want to take on this endeavor."

Orli smiled. Bankrupt the system? Impossible.

# Snape

"I couldn't care less whether your little business goes bankrupt."

Snape turned his head away. Orli anticipated an outright rejection, yet his next words took an unexpected turn:

# Snape

"I'll discuss your proposal with Dumbledore."

As Orli exited the dungeon, she was elated, her steps lightened by her buoyant mood. If she succeeded in acquiring all student potion assignments from the school, she'd never have to worry about contribution points again.

Upon entering the Gryffindor common room, she discovered its occupants buzzing with excitement over something.

## Orli

"What happened?"

She inquired of Ron and Hermione, who were seated in the prime spots by the fireplace, comparing several astronomy charts from class, while Harry sat nearby, looking glum.

# Ron

"The first Hogsmeade weekend,"

Ron pointed to a notice on the old bulletin board,

# Ron

"At the end of October. Halloween eve."

# Fred

"Fantastic,"

Fred chimed in, having just returned from outside and climbing into the common room through the portrait hole alongside Orli:

# Fred

"I must visit Zonko's Joke Shop; we're running low on dungbombs. We're developing a new product recently, but it's top secret for now."
