"The soul aura from the diary has weakened." Due to the stimulation brought by the Cruciatus Curse she cast on Tom Riddle, the presence of Voldemort's soul fragment in the diary before her had uncontrollably strengthened, allowing Glenn to capture the state change of Tom's soul fragment. "Reduce the power of the Cruciatus Curse a bit, and practice control at the same time."
The tip of the pale wand in Glenn's hand emitted a red light that visibly thinned several times, yet continued to pour out her magic steadily. Because the output of magic decreased over the same period, the Cruciatus Curse she cast was no longer an uncontrollable torrent of violent magic. Now, Glenn consciously manipulated the thin beam of red light to constantly wander over the diary.
However, reducing the magic output did not make the Cruciatus Curse any less excruciating.
If the previous Cruciatus Curse felt to Tom like his entire body was being burned and pierced repeatedly by sharp blades, then the small, controllable red lightning at the tip of Glenn's wand now was akin to a scalpel continuously slicing flesh from his body.
This was not some warm water boiling a frog.
This was a hot knife cutting through butter!
The soul of Tom was nearly driven insane; the continuous trauma from deep within his soul, though not as painful as before, inflicted far greater mental anguish than before!
Completely unable to think! No time to buffer! The extraordinary pain continuously interrupted Tom's thoughts.
What kind of Hogwarts curse torture is this!
Tom even suspected that if he didn't speak up, this fragment of his soul would be tortured into complete dissolution.
"No, I must get out and make that person stop!" Little Tom's face twisted, full of resentment, as he struggled to control his facial expressions amidst the pain, trying to restore his courteous appearance.
He was just about to control his soul to manifest as a phantom when he was startled to find himself suppressed within the diary by a force.
This was naturally Glenn's doing. Through her Obscurial perception, she passively absorbed a lot of negative emotions unconsciously emitted by Tom Riddle due to the pain around the diary.
Glenn's past life experience made her aware that in the current state of the interrogated, she could not extract real information from his mouth.
"Let me practice the Cruciatus Curse a little longer, then I'll release you if you behave." Silently performing alchemy to lock the diary, preventing the soul from escaping, Glenn continued to output the Cruciatus Curse without a hint of emotion.
Oh, by the way, Glenn's past life experience also taught her that she rarely got the information she wanted from the interrogated, because those people invariably died in pain from her merciless interrogations.
So Glenn stopped taking on such interrogation tasks after a few attempts.
Simply eliminating the target was much easier for her.
"?!"
Little Tom was dumbfounded. Not only could he not manifest his soul now, but that damned spellcaster even covered the diary with something!
How am I supposed to tell you the location of the Chamber of Secrets?!
This lunatic just wants to torture me, right?!
If it were a normal person, they might have ended themselves.
But he was Voldemort! The Voldemort who aspired to immortality, with consciousness living forever!
Little Tom's heart was filled with pain, anger, and grievance, and he made up his mind.
Even if I die, jump from here, I will never tell you any information about the Chamber of Secrets!
........................
...Three minutes later...
If you want to kill me, just do it quickly!!
Little Tom was numb. Who knows what kind of hell he went through in those three minutes.
Unable to live, unable to die.
He was about to be played to death.
Seeing that he was about to dissipate and that maniac outside still showed no signs of stopping, Tom Riddle had no hope of survival anymore.
Then, right at the moment before he gave up thinking, the torture from the outside... no, the torment, stopped at the worst possible moment.
The weakened Tom felt the bindings from the diary being lifted, but he couldn't manifest his soul now.
[Tell me the exact location of the Chamber of Secrets and the Serpent.]
Glenn, expressionless, repeated her words on the diary, but Tom inside could feel the hidden weight behind them.
While receiving treatment from Hermione, Glenn stared at the diary, now in tatters.
This time, the diary was very sensible, and a line of black ink slowly floated between the pages.
[Second floor, girls' bathroom.]
Little Tom no longer had the energy to play any word games; he had to conserve his strength.
Glenn nodded. This matched the most suspicious place among the possible locations for the Chamber of Secrets she had in mind.
She didn't plan to continue questioning Tom about other matters regarding the Chamber of Secrets. Glenn already had a plan in mind, and she had discussed the next steps with Hermione before heading to Ginny's dormitory tonight.
After informing Hermione of what she saw in the diary, the young girl nodded, not seeming too surprised.
"Our previous deduction was correct, but that Chamber of Secrets..." Hermione pondered, recalling how the two of them had explored the bathroom where Moaning Myrtle resided but found no suspicious space.
Glenn knew what Hermione was thinking and just shook her head.
"It doesn't matter, as long as we know where the Chamber of Secrets is hidden."
Glenn replied as she rummaged through her black ring for alchemy materials and some black blocks.
Carving an alchemical circle on the ground, a flash of white light, the alchemy materials melted and fused, forming a small black box.
"Hermione, help me out," Glenn said, using magic to float the diary into the small black box. "Shrink these black blocks to a smaller size."
Hermione nodded, her wand waving lightly as she muttered incantations, and those black blocks shrank more than half.
Glenn nodded, stuffing them all into the black box with the diary, then sealed it completely with alchemy.
She then took Hermione's hand and began to trace lightly on her palm with her finger.
"Stay close to me and follow my lead."
"As for the question you wanted to ask earlier, I believe someone will help us open the Chamber of Secrets."
"I don't believe Voldemort would be so honest."
