Chapter 134 - Chapter 134

"Um... Dad, if you're unsure what to sell, how about this kind of protective gear?" Lys hesitated for a moment and pointed at Gabon's collar.

In fact, Noah didn't really know much about alchemical items either. When he was in school, there was no such course, and shortly after graduating from Hogwarts, he met and married Senna, working only to manage some shop accounts for his employer.

In the years since the incident, he occasionally read books, but was too weak to even leave his room, so he had no idea about things he had never encountered before. He turned to look at Senna.

His wife was capable and well-informed... Ah, having a wife is truly wonderful...

Senna, however, didn't immediately answer Noah's question. Instead, she squinted her amber eyes at Lys. "How are you doing at school?"

Lys could hear the inquiry in Senna's tone.

Lys lifted her head from the ice cream box, unsure of how to respond. "My grades are..."

Before she could finish, she was interrupted, "I'm asking about your performance. Are you...," Senna raised her head, crossed her arms, and thought for a moment, "how should I put it, are you famous at school? In what way?"

Senna was almost certain that this child wasn't the same one who was bullied during the holidays in her first year. Given her second and third-year vacation antics and the alchemy and magic she's shown now, she couldn't possibly be an easy child.

So she asked directly, "In what way are you famous?"

Lys hesitated, her voice trembling as she answered:

"Fighting."

Her voice was so small that Senna didn't hear it clearly, "What? Say it again!"

Lys thought Senna disliked her mentioning fights, as her mother had told her not to mention fighting when buying shoes today. Today she needed to be cute and pretty.

Having just finished her ice cream, she almost started sweating again.

But Noah, beside her, heard it clearly. He was surprised, starting to recall what he was doing in his fourth year. Quietly assessing the situation to avoid being targeted because of his background?

And yet his daughter was famous for fighting in her fourth year?

Seeing her father's surprised expression, Lys knew she was in trouble, but she had no choice but to bravely repeat loudly,

"For fighting! Mom."

Senna sighed, leaning back in her chair, causing it to tilt back and then slam down with a 'bang.'

Lys swallowed, the lingering taste of ice cream no longer sweet. Was today's dream coming to an end? Was her mom angry?

"I knew it... never mind... it's not a big deal."

Lys felt as if she had been pardoned, taking a deep breath and disguising it by taking another bite of ice cream.

Hearing his wife's evaluation of their daughter, Noah remarked, "I told you, little star is like you, beautiful and strong! I think the protective gear business could work, don't you think, Senna?"

Senna was delighted by the praise, "Alchemical protective gear, this business is indeed timely and a good idea."

Apparating home with her husband and daughter, Senna prepared to handle the shop opening matters the next day, hoping that after ten years, the Ministry of Magic's efficiency wouldn't still be so slow.

The first thing Lys did upon returning to her room was change out of the dress. It was uncomfortable, too uncomfortable, and those shoes were a disaster.

Putting on her old shirt, Lys rushed to the kitchen to start cooking. Now she didn't stop the house-elf from punishing her, just casting a buffer spell to let it play on its own.

Following the recipe, she cooked dishes with splattering oil and refreshing salads, paired with soft, savory croutons, perfect.

After dinner, with her mother's permission, Lys pushed Noah's wheelchair into the yard.

She took out a piece of parchment and began recording her modification plans. Protective effects were essential, control spells required magic, so perhaps she could make a magic storage bottle or crystal ball like Gabon's... which would look more aesthetically pleasing?

Detection effects, transformation or confusion effects, and it had to have offensive capabilities. As for teleportation, well, she still couldn't Apparate or use Portkeys, so she'd have to wait.

Trying to carve a few protective runes, the wheelchair's handle crumbled into powder. Lys was stunned, remembering that the wheelchair's material was too ordinary to bear excessive magic and effects. Sitting cross-legged on the grass, Lys began to ponder what materials would be suitable.

The next morning, Senna discovered several branches of the fruit trees behind the house had been chopped off...

Seeing the clearly sleepless Lys studying a stack of parchment, Senna told her to tidy herself up and follow her to the Ministry of Magic to handle the shop and inheritance matters.

Seeing the somewhat dazed little lunatic, Senna gave her a potion to refresh her and told her to only bring the hawthorn wand, leaving everything else at home before Apparating with Lys.

They appeared in a reception hall, where a receptionist in the corner was yawning, making Lys almost yawn as well.

Senna efficiently registered their visit, registered the wand, and headed straight for the target office with Lys. Fortunately, this staff member was very dedicated, though talkative, always inquiring about this and that, but his hands moved swiftly.

Lys spent her trip to the Ministry of Magic in a daze as Senna instructed her to "sign here," "sign there," "raise your wand."

Senna checked the documents with Lys's cursive signature, slender and sharp.

Though it didn't meet her standards, it was still aesthetically pleasing.

Upon leaving the Ministry of Magic, Senna held the shop permit and two boxes, and Lys carried three.

Returning home, Lys looked at the five boxes, each with a library-sized space inside filled with countless books, her eyes losing their light.

Endless books...

Senna handed Lys the book catalog, "This is the last foundation and heritage of the Lam family, and it will be entrusted to you in the future."

But fortunately, aside from the dozens of books Senna specified must be read, Lys could choose to read the rest at her leisure.

Having witnessed the mountain of books, Lys actually found the list of dozens of books not too daunting.
