Chapter 165: Defense-Breaking Cat and Dodging Mosquito

The Divine Light Virus absorbed divine power and evolved once again.

Both Stand Virus and divine power were immensely beneficial to it. However, the Stand Virus hadn't been fully digested yet. As a virus on a multiversal conceptual level, the Divine Light Virus would require a long time to completely assimilate it.

On the other hand, it quickly finished absorbing the divine power and evolved according to Chang Wei's will.

Chang Wei's wish was for it to enhance its devouring ability. Gods were troublesome entities, and it was difficult to fully understand what they even were. Although the Divine Light Virus' devouring ability already covered the mystical domain, the scope of the mystical domain was as vast as the scientific domain—anything could fall within it. Could the Divine Light Virus truly devour everything?

The virus was still growing. Chang Wei's goal was simple: keep feeding it everything and let it grow!

He didn't yet understand how to make the Divine Light Virus reach the level of a single-universe entity. Wouldn't that require reaching the scale of infinity?

The problem was that no matter how much it devoured, numbers were still just numbers—they weren't infinity.

Devouring an entire universe? That was nothing more than a pipe dream.

"God, since you've delivered yourself to me, I won't be polite!"

Behind Chang Wei, the Divine Light Virus' predatory organ flickered between fog-like and shadow-like forms, striking directly at the deity.

God initially didn't believe Chang Wei could do anything to it. This was just an avatar projection; its true body and power were sealed away by Blast and his group, making it impossible to break through.

But when the Divine Light Virus' predatory organ touched the projection, the connection was severed instantly.

"It actually devoured my projection?"

God was in disbelief, even feeling a deep sense of threat!

Compared to Blast's team, which only restricted its actions and was constantly exhausted while dealing with the countless avatars it created…

Compared to that strange, bald human who could kill its avatars…

Chang Wei inspired real fear and danger—almost as if he could actually devour it!

This was different from simply being killed. As a being embodying concepts and universal laws, even if it died, it could resurrect. But if it were devoured, could it still revive?

"What kind of entity is this? It can consume concepts, rules, and even my power..."

Yet, Chang Wei felt as if he hadn't devoured anything.

Still, God's projection had indeed disappeared.

Not understanding why, Chang Wei decided to stop overthinking it.

He had a more important task at hand—Saitama!

"I can finally set my sights on Saitama. First step: transform into a cat and a mosquito to obtain Saitama's blood. Let's see if I can use it to replicate his limiter removal…"

Chang Wei was deeply envious of Saitama's limitless growth. By design, Saitama should be able to defeat his past self from the previous day with a single punch.

All living beings had limits. Take muscle training, for example—progress was obvious at first but would eventually plateau, allowing only maintenance rather than further growth.

But after removing his limiter, Saitama's training was like an endless "+1, +1, +1." No matter how simple or absurd his regimen seemed, it maintained the same initial growth effect!

Every day, he continued growing at the same rate. Fighting monsters even accelerated his growth!

And yet, despite this, his body shape and mass remained unchanged. Logically speaking, if he had no limiter, his size and volume should expand indefinitely.

"Dimensional Teleportation…"

Having obtained Blast's teleportation data, along with cosmic mode and divine power, Chang Wei now found teleportation as effortless as breathing.

Unlike Garou, who needed to see his destination to teleport, Chang Wei could move anywhere as long as he had coordinates or a mental image.

Returning to Earth, Chang Wei sighed in relief. The Monster Association battle had ended. They had fought fiercely, and thanks to Chang Wei's intervention, Saitama had left the battlefield just in time to clean out a supermarket sale—truly a win-win situation.

With his main objectives accomplished, Chang Wei no longer cared about the Hero Association or the others.

"What the hell? Where's my house?"

Back in District 11, Saitama found the entire area missing—replaced by an enormous, bottomless crater.

The Bald Demon King let out a soul-wrenching scream.

Afterward, as a disaster victim, he was given a new house… mostly because Chang Wei still needed to carry out his plan. If Saitama were homeless, he might stay overly alert, making it harder to proceed.

Originally, Chang Wei planned to use a medical checkup as an excuse to get a sample of Saitama's blood. However, the needle couldn't penetrate Saitama's skin.

This left Chang Wei speechless.

Saitama could be scratched by a cat, but a needle couldn't break his skin?

"Can you automatically adjust your body's durability, you freak?"

"If Plan A won't work, then I'll have to go with Plan B. Transforming into a mosquito or a cat myself is too risky—I might get swatted to death. Instead, I'll have the Divine Light Virus create a mosquito and a cat to test things out…"

Chang Wei's eyes gleamed as he watched the sleeping Saitama.

"Buzz… buzz…"

A mosquito flapped its wings and landed on Saitama's forehead.

"Slap!"

Saitama's hand struck like lightning, but the mosquito dodged effortlessly.

"Why are there mosquitoes in my new house?!"

Annoyed, Saitama got up and furiously swatted at the mosquito, chasing it around.

Chang Wei was stunned.

Mosquitoes were slow—how was it dodging Saitama's attacks?

Unbelievable!

Could it be that Saitama was simply incapable of killing mosquitoes?

But getting close to him wasn't easy either. Saitama's alertness was surprisingly high.

At Chang Wei's command, the mosquito retreated. Once Saitama settled back down, a cat stealthily crept toward him.

Saitama appeared completely defenseless—until the cat unsheathed its claws!

Scratch!

"AAAAAHHH!"

Saitama screamed in pain as claw marks appeared on his face.

"Damn stray cat!"

Spotting the feline, he chased after it. But in the end, he only shooed it away and left it at that.

Just like that, Chang Wei successfully obtained Saitama's genetic material… though he couldn't shake the feeling that something about this situation was off.

Still, what did it matter? Obtaining Saitama's genes was a victory.

The Divine Light Virus absorbed the genetic material, reclaiming the entire cat.

However, to Chang Wei's disappointment, absorbing Saitama's genes didn't cause any changes.

"This doesn't make sense. It's not a conceptual ability—why can't I obtain it?"
