Chapter 221 - Rain of Fire

A frustrated Lightbringer rushed to Roric and reported, "They are like shadows, Commander."

He huffed and resumed his reporting, "We find them, they strike, and then they are gone. Our numbers mean little when we cannot pin them down."

Roric's facial expression turned grim. His cold, analytical eyes scanned the distant walls.

"They have a leader who understands irregular warfare," he concluded. "This is not the work of a desperate rabble. This is planned."

He started making necessary adjustments in his tactics.

He began with sending out smaller, faster units in order to mirror Siterion's elusive defenders.

But it did not prove very effective either, for two reasons: one, Ragna's ferocity and fierce, agile fighting style that grew on her small team of chosen members.

Second, it was Ragna's knowledge of the terrain and unorthodox fighting style that was keeping them at bay.

But Siterion had no way to cherish or enjoy their success.
