The air around the conference table was heavy and filled with tension as all of them stared at Susan in surprise and curiosity.
Cael sat at the head of the table, fingers steepled beneath his chin. "Tied to a prophecy? In this century?" He asks, skepticism heavy in his voice.
Susan nodded. "That was exactly how I felt when all the signs started pointing that way when i was doing my research. I kept telling myself there was no way but that was the only lead I got."
Jason let out a low chuckle, "That woman just keeps giving us curveball when it comes to her."
Cael looked at Susan again and asks, "What made you come to the conclusion about the prophecy?"
Susan mouth tightened grimly. "Do you all remember when I told you that the magical residue around Elisa's wolf binding felt familiar when I tried to probe and study it then?"
They nodded. Cael's eyes narrowed, his instincts already humming.
