Despite this, what seemed odd was that not a single scorpion was seen emerging from the ground as he made his way; only crushed remains of Gu insects lay all around, yet not a speck of dust was stirred to sully the little monk from the secular world. Upon reaching Ye Tian, he handed over the Zen Staff, saying, "This is what my master tasked me to deliver to you."
Ye Tian was taken aback before accepting the Zen Staff, placing his palms together, "Little master, your unfathomable prowess is truly akin to the living Buddha."
