The leading officer drew the Browning SU7656 large-caliber pistol from his waist holster and pointed it at Ye Tian, "You now have the right to remain silent; every word you say will be used as evidence in court."
"Don't give me that spiel; mainland criminal law hasn't gotten that far, picking up how Hong Kong Police speak, you're really something!"
The officer across from him glanced at the hostage in Ye Tian's arms and said, "Let her go, and we can guarantee your safety."
"What if I don't?"
The officer thought for a moment, "That's simple."
A loud "Bang!" splattered some blood on Ye Tian's face, and Chen Ting, whom he threatened with a scalpel, slowly slipped down his body, all the way to his feet. There was a hole as thick as a finger on her forehead, but the back of her head was a muddled mess.
