There are nearly thirty granaries here, all filled to the brim with grain. The four central granaries store the spirit grain collected.
Spirit grain has extremely low yields, containing abundant energy, and is one of the few spiritual objects that can be directly cultivated by the lower-class peasants. However, spirit grain is also an essential tribute to the upper city. Most of the spirit grain collected annually by the Pei family is sent to the upper city with utmost diligence.
