"You're a new Godslayer, and yet you came to Japan first, even making Ena your knight. There's no need for such hostility between us, is there?"
Susanoo's voice carried a forced calm as he scanned the countless swords hovering ominously in the air. Cold sweat trickled down his back. He wasn't just waryâhe was afraid. His instincts screamed that every one of these weapons carried the power to wound, perhaps even kill him outright. If they struck all at once, even he wouldn't survive.
For a god who had walked the mortal realm for so long, the thought of dying now was terrifying.
"You really don't understand how this works, do you?" Blake replied, his tone as indifferent as ever. He floated above, gazing down at the once-mighty storm god. "Godslayers and Heretic Gods don't need a reason to fight and I also wanted to fight Monkey King."
Blake's words made Susanoo stiffen. A bad feeling settled in his gut.
"The Monkey KingâSun Wukongâwas sealed away by you. I don't want any surprises when I go to deal with him."
A flicker of shock crossed Susanoo's face. He hadn't expected Blake to know about that.
Long ago, they had indeed used trickery to seal away the rebellious Monkey King, only releasing him when they needed his strength to deal with threats. And once the battle was won, they would lock him away again. A cycle of control that had persisted for centuries.
Once, Luo Haoâthe self-proclaimed Martial Arts King of Chinaâhad stormed Japan, seeking to break the seal. She had even reduced Palace to rubble in the process. But without the proper knowledge, she had ultimately failed and left empty-handed.
Now Blake stood before him, fully aware of the past. Worse yet, he had come prepared.
"That damn monkey rampaged through our lands! We sealed him away to stop his destruction, to make him answer for his actions! How is that wrong?!" the Priest spat, his voice rising in anger.
Blake's expression remained unreadable, but his sapphire-blue eyes flickered with something cold and final.
"To make him atone? You? That's rich and why would i care."
A silver sword gleamed in the airâthen shot forward.
PFFT!
The blade pierced the Priest's chest in an instant.
"Gahâ!"
His body spasmed, blood gushing from his lips as he stumbled backward, eyes wide in disbelief. His strength drained rapidly, and he crumpled to the ground, his breath ragged and shallow.
"Priest!"
Susanoo's face twisted in shock. He hadn't even seen the attack coming.
The princess gasped, her hands trembling. Acting on instinct, she rushed to the Priest's side, intending to heal him.
WHAM!
Before she could reach him, another sword shot forward, slamming into her side with its blunt hilt. She let out a soft cry as the force sent her flying, landing harshly in the crimson sands.
Susanoo had no time to check on her. Every single floating sword had now locked onto him.
Then, as if answering some unseen command, they all surged forward.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
Steel met steel as Susanoo frantically parried, his grip tightening around the Totsuka-no-Tsurugi. The sheer number of blades made it impossible to block them all. Blood splattered across the battlefield as the weapons slashed into his flesh, carving deep wounds across his body.
It was a one-sided slaughter.
CRACK!
The moment of true despair arrived when his divine bladeâhis prized Totsuka-no-Tsurugiâshattered under the relentless onslaught. The fragments scattered into the wind, glinting under the eerie glow of Blake's Reality Marble.
A flicker of grief crossed Susanoo's battered face, but there was no time to mourn his broken weapon. The attack resumed immediately, more swords slicing toward him with unrelenting force.
He had never felt this powerless before.
"I told you already," Blake said, his voice steady as he watched from above. "I don't care about who was right or wrong. I only care that your time is up."
Susanoo gritted his teeth, his storm authority flaring to life. Violent winds erupted around him, forcing some of the swords away. He roared in fury, blood dripping from the countless gashes across his body.
"You damn brat! You think this is over?! When the myths revive, I'll make sure you regret this!"
His battered body barely held together, his divine essence flickering like a dying flame.
The princess, barely able to lift her head from where she had fallen, could only watch in horror. Susanooâthe storm god, the unyielding warriorâwas being erased.
Blake's expression didn't change.
He lifted his hand.
In an instant, dozens of blades surged forward, piercing straight through Susanoo's body.
The god let out a choked gasp.
His form shuddered violentlyâthen, like sand slipping through fingers, he began to dissolve. His divine essence broke apart, scattering into the wind.
"YouâŠ" Susanoo's eyes burned with fury as he glared at Blake, trying to etch his face into memory. But he had no time left.
His body faded entirely, vanishing from the world.
A deep silence settled over the battlefield.
