A screaming jumble formed. And Eric wasn't done. He leaned forward passing Kate who hoped he couldn't smell her. He put a hand over them and pushed down, kicking and screaming followed.
Which was fine, because Kate was a hot sticky mess. Tiffany was a monster who'd done terrible, terrible things only to leave. Kate wasn't even ticklish!
"Guys stop." Kate began. "I'm feeling left out. Where are we anyway?"
"The Mall!" Tiff yelled from under Eric's armpit while clearly changing colour as her legs, flailed, twisted and one bent behind his shoulder and the other tried to flog Eric to death. That was put to bed quickly as Eric, with a grunt simply stood up. The problem was skinny Genevieve was suddenly pinned against the ceiling along with Tiffany. They looked like a cat that had gotten itself stuck under the couch. Eric let go and they tumbled over Kate who'd tried to catch them.
Kate was somehow part of the pile up, one eye shut praying her notification didn't turn on.
It didn't. She breathed only to have Gen and Tiff compete for breathing room from on top of Kate turning her into a couch.
"No Tiff" Gen warned.
"Your time is up Gen."
"So what? This is Eric's time. Not yours."
"For now. And that didn't cancel out what I said. Your time's up. The age of War is over."
"Aha… so… funneh…" said an even more deadpan Genevieve. The girl could likely pull of deadpan better than any other girl in the world. "Both of us can't take control of the time, and unlike you, I'm not taking anything."
"As gratifying as it is, you fighting for me and all. But I am going to need a breather." Kate said staring directly into Tiff's soul to get the message across that, as much as she really wanted to, they could not be doing… what she'd been doing.
Because? Asked a voice in her head.
Kate drew a blank for a moment and a new voice piped up.
Because then she'd have to see me naked.
Every part of Kate recoiled. An army of horny vampires blasted by the brightest sunlight. The very notion hurt, sending shock waves down her soul.
Tiff, on the other side, had a smile of resignation, unable to finish what she'd started. And goodness did she want to finish. But seriously what supermodel did they all see?
"Fine." Tiff said with a rather dramatic sniff. "Air is good."
"You people." Gen grunted, "Kate, we are at the mall, you still have that body suit, and the outfit Sakura gave,"
"Lent."
Gen rolled her eyes, "No, trust me, gave. Riley, Rich, Tiff and… others won't be accepting it. And where they will have drones to keep them up to date, you clearly have nothing to supplement you. You didn't even have a neck brace for that impact you took, we assumed you did. The fact Sakura's outfit didn't react means that idiot didn't re-fit it to you."
Kate was no idiot. In terms of fitting, outfits, could alter its properties with the right stimulants, harden or soften as needed. She understood exactly what Gen was saying, hell she'd worn the like, but those had been military grade, they'd been special. And Gen was saying that her clothes should've done more to protect her?
She had to mentally sit herself down and remind herself that she wasn't an idiot. She wasn't.
Tiff shrugged.
"Te be fair, I know I wouldn' 'ave guessed."
Kate smiled realizing the trap Tiffany had just set as Gen smirked and stared at her in a way that said 'point proven'
"Oh screw you." Tiff said reaching out to smack her, but Kate caught it.
"Oh no you don't! That was actually a good one from Ms Grumpy."
"That ain't me?" Eric asked.
"No, I know you're doing some birds eye view of us. You're secretly having fun watching in some weird asexual way."
"Nawt everything has the be abou' getting yir rox off."
"The fun things tend to." Kate returned.
"Okay." Gen began throwing her hands up. "Tiff and Eric get selection duty, I get chaperone duty. Which means no changing room kisses Tiff. I'll make sure of it. And no Eric. I'm not an idiot. You don't fool me, so distance. Even if it's Nature's time. You're no virgin, no matter how hard you're trying to play one for Kate."
