CRCK CRCK This is s-s-s-s-scary now...Yikes! The crystal–uhh? Ice, I mean…is starting to become increasingly similar to the clear ice you see on frozen lakes.
AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE ICE DOESN'T SUPPORT YOUR WEIGHT!??! CRCK!Hufffff! You fall… Puffff!
Crap. Do I move? I don't think so….Should I?
….You know what! CRCK! I'm only hearing cracks and 'm not seeing them so might as well take the risk….Have nothing better to do anyway.
Huff...…Thud...….First step….Thud…Second…..Thud Thud Thud Thud Thud....CRCK! Again with the noise. CRACK!!*STOP* Uhhhhhh? *RUMBLE*
CRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH—-----SHING!*stop*......................Caves...…...Creatures.....and...…darkness…
It is so clear, I can see right through the crystals…No…More like I can see everything in the Crystal Dunes.
The spider-like Burrowebs hiding in their caves are the only creatures I'm seeing currently, but there are others that are either too far for me to see or they look like smudges of ink.
Hmmmmm….it's like swimming in the ocean looking down to see nothin but water, except this time, it's the darkness covering my vision…..But wait, how can I know where things are when everything is so clear?
Praise the moon! The moonlight is reflecting off the crystals, creating an outline of everything that isn't crystal….like x-ray vision.
….The only downside are those ominous clouds…Few in numbers but dangerous, at least I think so…'cause I'm sure if the clouds block the moonlight, I wouldn't be able to see anything.
And I mean nothing at all, nada, none, only darkness. Sure I have night vision but who knows how long? Night vision itself needs light as a sort of battery to work and reflections wouldn't exist without light and some sort of reflective-materials. So, I'm practically blind when the clouds block the sky.
Thud…That sounds poetic…Thud
Moonlight dancing in the night's luster,
Blind in the face of the floating threat,
Coming to block the glow of the moon.
HMM. Hehehe I sound so scholarly, so smart, so cool….so pretentious. MAN, am I getting good at this or what!?
Thud I jinxed it…I think just talking about it made it happen. A singular cloud is heading straight towards the moon….Should I have not said anything? Nah, if I didn't say anything, I would have just thought about it. OH WAIT!
Whoooooosh….It just passed by the moon. Whew
Thud Thud I wonder what even made the sand crystalize into what it is right now? …It went from soft sand to brittle crystals then it finally hardened into a flat one-piece crystal layer laying across the Dunes.
Not only is it similar to a frozen lake, it also is starting to feel like one too. Especially with how both seem to change from one state of matter to another. Wait…I mean like how the water transforms into ice whilst in this situation the sand transforms into crystal.
Notice how I said crystal with no "s"? It's as if the previous crystals merged into one, creating a sort of window atop the entirety of the Dunes.
Incredible and curious as heck! Thud Thud Even the crystals covering my feet combined into one and created a hardened wax laying atop my skin…Thud Crack! *Break* Its quite brittle though.
Thud Thud Oh? Whoosh Another challenger has appeared! Moonlight coverer 2.0! And am I worried? …Hell Yeah!
But, what can I do? Stare at the moon to keep my night vision going? Wait, is that how it works? …Eh…Wouldn't hurt to try right?
............…..You know what I just realized? The moon itself doesn't shine on you like the sun does nor does it bring you the same warmth it does with the sunrays. But it's quite beautiful to look at and the quietness of the night is a different type of calm.
And well….I've never really noticed how the moon is closer to this world than on Earth or how I can see the moon in much clearer detail than I have on Earth.
...Where's the cloud? Whoosh Oh it's right there…Huh? It was an island? OOOOHHHHHHHHHHH! CRAP! I totally forgot about the other islands!
Cloud this, cloud that. Why did I forget about the islands! Left! No island there. Right! None there either. Around me? Nothing, only that singular island approaching…What is it?
That's no island….This is way too suspicious to not think about. *RUSH* WHOOOSH Thud Thud Thud Thud I'm running away from that thing.
Nope, I'm not gonna even entertain the fact that it might be just a cloud. I've seen way too much stuff to know that this is the literal definition of "Don't judge a book by its cover". Thud Thud WHOOSH! Thud
