TYLER'S POV
"He's going to kill me," I said—and then I screamed it.
Like, actually screamed it out loud, not caring who stared.
My chest was tight. My brain? A mess. I felt like crying, like tearing my own hair out. I gripped the edge of the table so hard my knuckles turned white.
And naomi on the other hand didn't even notice, she was still rapping.
Her stupid mouth kept moving nonstop, spitting out whatever came to her head like she was performing at a damn talent show.
Meanwhile, I was sitting right there, sweating, panicking, knowing I just did the dumbest thing I've ever done in my entire life.
She kept going on and on, laughing, talking about God knows what.
And I just sat there—boiling.
I swear, I felt something inside me snap. I wanted to bang her head on the damn table.
Why did she even come sit with me?
Why didn't I just eat alone like I planned?
I wanted to scream at the universe.
