Nasya's POV
Matilda and I shared an unspoken understanding - when midnight fell, our operation would begin.
After dinner, I returned to the penthouse to spend some time playing with Orion and Joanna. Fortunately, Austin was exhausted and had been sleeping the entire time, sparing me from having to face him directly again.
When the dead of night arrived and I saw the two children nestled soundly asleep beside Austin, I quietly slipped out of the room and made my way to the elevator.
The elevator doors had barely open in front of me when one of Austin's ever-present security team materialized from the shadows. "Miss Woods," he said, blocking the control panel with his body, "it's quite late. Mr Woods gave strict instructions—"
"I'm not leaving the hotel," I interrupted, mimicing the haughty tone of Emma I'd learned from years. "Austin asked me to check on the special guest on sixteen. Some matters require a woman's touch with young girls, wouldn't you agree?"
