The Witch looked at Logi like she wanted to eat him and split out his bones, and then proceeded to burn them to pieces until there was nothing left.
"Why did they want you?" Logi asked, hoping he would divert the tension before she succeeded in doing whatever fantasies she had in mind.
"Why else?"
"The Court wanted your power."
The Witch winked. "Exactly. They have me on their side, and they become unstoppable. No one mentioned if I would be willing or not when they got their hands on me."
Logi leaned away from his seat. "How do I know we can trust you?"
She may have saved Isadora, but it didn't change the fact that she was a total stranger to them.
She snickered. "You don't, I'm only on your side because of my daughters' well-being."
"I can work with that, same goes for Isadora, too. You're her Spirit mother, and I respect that. But a witch is a witch."
The corner of her lips twitched. "I've got a feeling, you and I will blend very well."
Logi shivered.
