Chapter 171 - Chapter 171

Jiraiya frowned when he heard the two suggesting him as the Fifth Hokage. "My personality isn't suited for being Hokage."

The two immediately replied, "It's not about whether you're suited or not. The village needs a Hokage now, someone who can take charge. You're one of the Sannin, with enough experience, making you the most suitable candidate."

Jiraiya thought for a moment and said, "Speaking of experience, I have someone in mind." The two Hokage advisors exchanged glances. They had thought of the same person but said, "But we can't find where she is."

Jiraiya smiled, "I can find her." Both nodded, "If you can bring her back, then having her succeed as the Fifth Hokage would indeed be fitting."

Despite the fact that the two Hokage advisors often seemed at odds with Tsunade later on, when it came to major village matters, they firmly stood by the Hokage's side.

They might have differing opinions, but when it came to making decisions, they always supported the Hokage. As the granddaughter of the First Hokage and one of the Sannin, Tsunade was undoubtedly a very suitable candidate for Hokage.

Jiraiya continued, "I can find Tsunade and persuade her to return as Hokage, but I have a condition."

The two asked, "What condition?" Jiraiya replied, "I want to take Naruto with me." The two advisors frowned.

"You should know his identity." Jiraiya nodded calmly, "I do, and that's precisely why I want to take him with me." The two pondered for a while and then nodded, "If you want to take him, go ahead, but we hope you can ensure his safety."

As the village's only Jinchuriki, the two advisors hesitated about letting Jiraiya take him out, but after careful consideration, they trusted Jiraiya's character.

After all, if they could consider Jiraiya for Hokage, they naturally trusted him. Jiraiya smiled and asked, "What do you think about the orders left by the Third before he died?"

Since many Anbu and Jonin were present when the Third gave his orders, the two Hokage advisors had naturally heard about it. They weren't particularly conflicted about this issue and replied calmly, "We'll naturally follow what the Third said."

Jiraiya was a bit surprised, "You have no objections?" The two shook their heads, "What objections could we have? Since the Third arranged it that way, he must have had his reasons. We trust the Third's judgment."

In fact, it was clear that Yoruha was seen by the Third as part of the Hokage's lineage. Even if the two advisors had any objections, they would support him.

That's the stance of the two advisors: to align with the Hokage. Although they didn't know much about Yoruha, they had great trust in the Third's judgment. Since the Third issued such orders before his death, it showed he had high hopes for Yoruha.

Yoruha's strength and talent must have been acknowledged by the Third. Naturally, they wouldn't oppose it. Jiraiya said nothing more.

Meanwhile, at Konoha Hospital, Naruto and Sasuke had recovered after several days of treatment. Sakura and Kakashi brought flowers to visit them in the hospital room.

Sakura also recounted the events of the Nine-Tails' appearance and its defeat of Shukaku to Sasuke, Kakashi, and Naruto.

It was rare because the battlefield was in a forest several kilometers away from the village of Konoha. After Sakura finished speaking, Naruto said, "That day, the Nine-Tails suddenly said it wanted to take control of my body."

"At that time, I saw the tailed beast from the Sand Village about to use a Tailed Beast Bomb, and I had no choice but to trust the Nine-Tails."

"I didn't expect it to actually save the village." Kakashi hadn't realized such a thing had happened, as he was guarding the Four Violet Flames Formation at the time.

He hadn't noticed the battle between the One-Tail and the Nine-Tails. Kakashi recalled that during the mission in the Land of Waves, Yoruha had mentioned making a pact with the Nine-Tails, ensuring it wouldn't go on a rampage. Naruto, clutching his stomach, sighed, "Is this Nine-Tails mine or his?"

Hearing Sakura recount the Nine-Tails' words before leaving, Naruto felt a bit sour. After all, the Nine-Tails sealed within him fought not for him, but for Yoruha. Sasuke remained silent.

After a long pause, he finally said, "I'm still too weak now. I don't know when I'll be able to catch up to his shadow."

"He's much stronger than I imagined. Even a powerful creature like the Nine-Tails has been tamed by him. Just how strong is he?" "It seems like he's never even used his full strength."

"Can I really catch up to him? Was he just fooling me?" The more Sasuke thought about it, the more it seemed that way.

It's not that he had to chase after Yoruha's shadow, but Yoruha had said that as long as he developed his Sharingan to the Mangekyo stage, he could defeat him.

Sasuke didn't fully believe Yoruha's words; he thought that even with the Mangekyo, he might not be able to defeat Yoruha. But catching up to his shadow shouldn't be a problem.

However, after hearing Sakura's words, he felt that even catching up to Yoruha's shadow might be difficult.

Sasuke shook his head with a bitter smile, "That big liar, he actually tricked me into thinking I could surpass him." Sasuke lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, his face showing bitterness.

He knew how strong Shukaku was. After Gaara fully transformed into the tailed beast, he was instantly defeated by Shukaku.

Yet, the Shukaku that defeated him was instantly defeated by the Nine-Tails. And the Nine-Tails that defeated Shukaku was willing to protect the village of the humans it hated the most for Yoruha.

This could only mean that Yoruha had already tamed the Nine-Tails. And only if Yoruha's strength could suppress the Nine-Tails would it submit to him. So how big was the gap between him and Yoruha?

Sasuke felt he had been deceived by Yoruha. However, unlike before, he didn't go to extremes upon realizing he'd been tricked. Now, he just thought Yoruha was a big liar, but he was doing it for his own good.

Yoruha simply wanted to give him a goal to strive for, a target to chase. Of course, this was Sasuke's own interpretation; Yoruha had no such intentions. He didn't care whether Sasuke surpassed him or not, as long as he didn't bother him.

The reason Sasuke thought Yoruha was doing it for his own good was that by following Yoruha's training plan, he had indeed raised his strength from Chunin to Jonin level in just a few months. This improvement was more than what he had achieved in six years at the Ninja Academy.

That's why he felt Yoruha had deceived him for his own good. Naruto also smiled bitterly, "That guy tricked me too, saying that once I mastered the Nine-Tails' power, I would surpass him." "It made me so excited before, always dreaming of mastering the Nine-Tails and surpassing him."

It was only now that Naruto realized he had definitely been tricked by Yoruha. The talk of surpassing him was complete nonsense. Even if he mastered the Nine-Tails' power, how could he possibly surpass Yoruha, who had tamed the Nine-Tails?

"That big liar, that big deceiver." Of course, if Naruto fully mastered the Nine-Tails' power, he would enter the Kurama Mode, and if he received the power from the Sage of Six Paths, he would have Six Paths level strength. At least the current Yoruha would definitely not be his match.

Currently, if Yoruha were to perform at his normal level, even Kage-level opponents wouldn't be his match. Moreover, Yoruha's ninjutsu was so outrageous that it was unimaginable for ordinary ninjas.

His Flying Thunder God Technique allowed him to move anywhere within dozens of kilometers as long as he had chakra, just with a thought.

And it didn't require pre-marking the Flying Thunder God technique. Coupled with those powerful ninjutsu, he now possessed strength beyond the Kage level. Yet he himself believed he only had the strength of an elite Jonin.

But he had already taken down several elite Jonin. He just hadn't realized that his strength might have already surpassed that of an elite Jonin. After all, if he wanted to, elite Jonin wouldn't even have a chance to fight back against him.
