Things seemed to have returned back to normal in the Palace of Lanterbur, that is if it could be called normal. A week had passed since Jenivive had resigned from her position and went home. The new year was already here, which meant the harsh winter was heavy on everyone at this time of the year. Yet, Aurora found herself battling her battles fairly well, having had received word from her sources that the whereabouts of Katarina Douglas was soon to be found.
The only thing that had not returned to normal, nor did it stop weighing on Aurora's mind, was her tattered relationship with Amalia Henning.
Even after a week had passed, Amalia continued to disregard Aurora's invitations. And as of lately, it was not only her invitations that she disregarded, but her mere presence as well. Every time they came to cross paths, Amalia would either turn away, ignore her eyes, or outright disrespect her by not offering her greetings. Still, Aurora let her be, hoping she'd come around.
