Taryn smiled and sipped her tea. Initially her only wish was just to sit here and intimidate Angelica while she waited for her mother to return, but then she remembered an unpleasant situation that she went through last night.

"Taryn, I gave you an order, I gave you a command and you gave me your word that you would fulfill it." Phillip said sounding angry.
"Yes, and I did do it." Taryn replied.
"Why then is Ian still bent on marrying that wretched girl?!" He shouted, his voice was loud and thunderous. Taryn herself was startled from how angry he was.
She knew that this union did not please him at all and he had done everything he thought he could to stop Ian from taking the decision to marry Angelica, yet, it had not worked, so who better to blame than her?
