"I mean, when you're on Terra…that pretty much sums it up." Damien half-whispered while awkwardly scratching his cheek.
"Right, well, I think that's all I needed to know, it's been not so nice knowing you, Damien, lose my number." Pushing away his finished plate of cookies, Aoni went to stand up while planning how to salvage this huge mess, only to get yanked back into the seat by Damien.
"Stop, Aoni. Please hear me out. I didn't mean for any of this to happen, okay? " he said, practically on the verge of tears.
Damien was no fool. He knew full well how all of this sounded and was quite embarrassed by it all.
