Chapter 260 - The Final Battle (2)

Not only the VIP seats, but also many people in the normal audience also rose up as if in an uproar. It was as if they had seen something incredible.

The mythologists led by Professor Carolina even searched for relevant records in their own minds.

Unfortunately, it was destined to be impossible to find any literature.

"This Pokémon... haven't seen it before." Lance looked at the three people beside him with some confusion.

Red had a clean smile on his face and said nothing.

Blue had a listless look on his face, as if he couldn't muster any interest at all in the sparring match below.

Cynthia was the same, just smiling.

Lance wasn't the only one who had such doubts, which one sitting here wasn't really a strong person in the true sense of the word. I can't say I've seen every Pokémon. But they must have recorded the appearance of every Pokémon in their hearts.

Even the weaknesses and strengths of these Pokémon were memorized in their hearts. After all, they have experienced countless battles. And the next battle would come anytime.

There's basically no choice of opponents. So familiarizing themselves with the basic characteristics of each Pokémon was their basic course.

"It's true that I've never seen it before, it's a new Pokémon all right."

Lucian looked grave. He was a psychic, and the kind that aided in memorization, so he was sort of a humanoid Pokédex. If he was saying that this Pokémon hadn't been seen before, then this one was basically a new Pokémon.

Steven glanced at the people around him, and was quite impressed to see that there was only surprise in their eyes and not much else.

Rope's popularity was really good. That's why no one said anything when he revealed this newly discovered Pokémon.

One should know that a newly discovered Pokémon often meant the discovery of a new area. At the very least, it was the discovery of a newborn population.

And what does that mean?

As long as this Pokémon had some redeeming qualities, then that was profit, profit that could drive people crazy.

The Dragon Master family grew up on the back of their own Dragon's Lair.

That place started out as a colony of snapdragons. Only later, after various young dragons were filled in, the variety of dragons inside became abundant.

Even Pokémon without dragon attributes had quite a few in there is all.

And the Steven family besides having money. There's also the mine...

In the mine was a colony of Steel-type Pokémon. The most numerous and largest colony is the Aggron colony. But there's some Metagross in there, too.

Steven's shiny Metagross is more the result of generations of Steven's family's hard work than his own encounters.

Pokémon is power, and a strong Pokémon is power of speech.

A strong enough Pokémon community was the prototype of a family that was strong enough to be passed down for hundreds of years.

No one would be unmoved. Even if they already had one they would greedily want to pursue a second one.

That's why the Dragon Master clan is being deadlocked in the Chengdu and Kanto regions.

There's still the Village of Dragons out there, and they're not going to want to let the Dragon Master family have their cake and eat it too. After all, the Kanto and Johto clans have always been the greediest kind. Of course, it was also the most standard family power.

"Alright guys, since Rope is the one who brought out the Pokémon, let's all just wait honestly for the reveal."

Leon suddenly spoke up.

Everyone looked at the guy who truly came from a grassroots background, but whose mentorship was anything but grassroots.

Leon smiled, "The fact that Professor Rope took this Pokémon out to battle means that he basically dug up all the information on this Pokémon. All we have to do is show the form to those below and around us."

He glanced at the crowd once more.

"What exactly does Professor Rope's existence mean, I don't think there's any need for me to reiterate it to you all."

"The Oak family isn't scary, everyone can just play fair, but this person, Professor Rope, can't be messed with."

And so the box was silent. Leon, who came from a relatively lowly background, knew better than Steven, who was born with a golden key, that just because some people don't show it on their face, it doesn't mean they don't have any thoughts in their heart.

Everyone's every behavior had its own self-consistent logic. Just like this time, he stood out for his childhood friend and brother to seek a future...

It's obvious to everyone that Professor Rope will be the hottest researcher for many years to come.

——————————

"Ohh!!! Professor Oak!!! I can see that a lot of people among the audience below are starting to gasp in shock at what's going on here!"

Yoshiki said with an uplifted look on her face, as if she didn't know the reason why the audience below was exclaiming. But instead of being ashamed, she felt honored.

The vase lady on one side was naturally even more 'smiling and nodding hmmm'. She was even more unaware of anything. Even the two Pokémon below her couldn't quite tell what exactly their attributes were.

After all, she was just a vase. You couldn't ask a vase to memorize the attribute restraint table.

After all, that stuff... it does get a little complicated.

Likewise, you can't expect a narrator to remember all the Pokémon, after all, he's still young, a newcomer, and only got the position by relying on his family's connections.

...You can't really a person who would listen to a commentator talk about anything here.

Why would he be up there as an ambient crew if he could actually read the players' thoughts on the game?

The main character on the commentary table is actually Professor Oak.

"That's a previously unrecorded Pokémon."

Professor Oak smiled as he said these somewhat shocking words.

Some of the unsure viewers in the audience also finally realized why they were surrounded by Pokémon trainers who were still quite senior and got up and exclaimed in surprise.

"And this Pokémon, under Rope's verification, is not the Pokémon from the legends of our brother's region."

"Indeed!"

Professor Carolina said darkly after listening to Professor Oak's explanation. She then said that she hadn't recalled in her mind the legends in the records that were more in line with this Pokémon.

Then that means...

Professor Carolina's eyes sharpened. He stared at the Poipole floating below, his eyes taking on an inquisitive desire.

This was an alien Pokémon.

Not just Professor Carolina, most of the people actually thought so.

There are generally only three kinds of new Pokémon discoveries these days.

Legendary Pokémon, which no one has ever seen before and are considered new Pokémon.

Fossilized Pokémon, after all, back in the days of fossils and legends, it was always a mystery how many kinds of Pokémon there were, so it makes sense that there would be newly discovered fossilized Pokémon.

Finally, there are the Pokémon from outer space, the Clefairy, the Elgyem family, and the Deoxys, which have yet to appear. The Elgyem family is one of them, and the Deoxys, which have yet to appear, are also from outer space.

As for the artificial Pokémon... they are not mentioned, and the League has always been very secretive about the reasons for the emergence of the Porygon. So much so that it's only known that Porygon could have been made by humans, but it's not certain.

As for Mewtwo...no one knows.

Mewtwo's existence is cordoned off to a very small circle. Even many of the upper echelons of the League were unaware of this Pokémon's existence.

It was a secret amongst the upper echelon trainers of Kanto League. Even the Elite Four of the Chengdu League, with the exception of Koga, were unaware of Mewtwo's existence.

Of course, none of the uninformed people present could guess...the Pokémon in front of them was from another world.

Of course, even Rope...there were things that were unclear.

"Your Pokémon...is very special."

Shori from the opposite side looked at the Poipole by Rope's side and said with some complexity.

He was certainly a professional trainer. Seriously though, it was always said that the League Conference was a tournament geared towards people who had gone overboard between beginners to veterans. But if the people who made it to the finals at League couldn't be professional trainers and eat the food, then there was basically no point to the conference.

And of course a professional trainer has to be best prepared to face the matchups. What is the most crucial thing about sparring?

Strength, and in the case of similar strength?

Poor information.

A Pokémon that had never appeared before was news to other bystanders, something that filled people with a sense of freshness.

But to him, the party involved in the matchup...it was a fucking nightmare...

Without sufficient information, he couldn't judge the attributes, characteristics, and skills of the Pokémon in front of him. Other than Ash, Rope had never seen many trainers who dared to fight without these things.

That's right, Ash, the forever god.

Rope held out his hand, and Poipole gave Rope a high five. He'd fought other Pokémon before, and knew that these Pokémon tended to have their hands tied when facing themselves because they didn't know their own information.

What's more, because he was in the form of a flash, he didn't even have the purple skin common to Poison-type Pokémon. As for the Dragon-type... who would know I'm a Dragon-type when I look like a bee????

So that's why Poipole was still confident in his sparring!

"Poi! (Win for you!)"

Poipole strikes an 'I'm strong' pose. Rope looks at him with a smile before turning his head to Shori across the room and shouting, "Poipole! Poison-type! I'll leave the rest to you."

Rope's words were transmitted through the loudspeaker.

The people in the audience, the people on the VIP stage, and the people in the commentary room all stood still. The entire Indigo Plateau tournament grounds fell silent for a moment.

A few moments later was the overwhelming sound of applause and cheering.

In the box, Blue rolled his eyes helplessly as the smile on Red's face grew even wider.

Cynthia's eyes had even more helplessness and pride in them.

On the other side of the Pavilions' box, Sabrina pursed her lips and looked at Rope, shaking her head helplessly.

And Nanami and Whitley who were sitting in the fellows' box looked at Rope and smiled helplessly.

They had long guessed that Rope would choose this way.

"Not bad for Brother Rope!"

Ash, who was sitting in the near field, said with emotion as he looked at Rope, who was not far away from him.

Shori opened his mouth wide and looked across the table at the man who looked to be two years older than himself with an incomprehensible expression. After a moment, he closed his mouth, then bowed towards Rope.

"You are an honorable trainer."

Across the room, Rope was smiling and letting Poipole fuck his little fists and pound his chest furiously. It was just having to control the temperature of the fire not to burn the little guy was still a bit of a struggle.

"That's okay."

He didn't say anything more to Shori on the opposite side, but looked at Poipole who was throwing a tantrum and said, "Stop it, that Pokémon on the opposite side's strength was already inferior to yours, and if you take advantage of the information difference, there's no point in exercising. Behave yourself and go to the match honestly."

Saying that, he pinched the syringe on Poipole's head with two fingers, then threw him to the center of the field.

"Come on, I'm not directing you in this match, let me see your level of combat awareness first."

Rope made a 'you go for it' gesture before sitting down in place, yawning and hanging his head.

Poipole then felt like she had a mamma mia sentence in the back of her mind that she just had to yell out loud.

But looking at that Bronzong across from him also gave him a headache.

Although the Shori on the opposite side didn't know Poipole's attributes beforehand, the Bronzong he sent out had still mistakenly chosen a combination of attributes that was extremely unfriendly to Poipole.

Psychic restrains Poison, and Poison is ineffective against Steel...

It can be said that Heaven's Gram...

Truly, it was a huge tragedy, and Poipole realized that he only had two skills left that he could use. Luckily, his energy level was high enough that he was able to kill his opponent in one move.

He had to go back and learn Dragon Pulse, otherwise, his striking range was too narrow after all.

Poipole clearly recognized his shortcomings. Then he was ready to start his first battle in this world.

"Bronzong! Confusion!"

A tried-and-true skill that was really the most useful skill for a Psychic-type Pokémon.

But Poipole's side felt the Confusion coming towards him and began to move through the air at a rapid pace. The plan was to transform into a golden and white shadow.

Bronzong tried his best to keep up with Poipole, but it was futile, Poipole was too fast. Bronzong is a Psychic-type Pokémon, but he is not known for his intelligence or reaction time.

Bronzong was regarded as a god who could summon rain clouds by people in ancient times, and his true strongest skill should be begging for rain...

And just as Bronzong realized that the Confusion skill was basically ineffective and was about to switch to another skill, Poipole suddenly stopped. In Bronzong's horrified gaze, the light green insect system energy on his body steeply coalesced.

The bug system was good enough to deal normal damage at least. Seriously, Poipole felt that other than Bronzong and that sun-looking lion[1], no other Pokémon would ever put themselves at such a disadvantage in terms of attributes.

It's really just Steady Gram.

The giant flying pinball is practically a pillar. Frankly, even if it were half as small, Bronzong would have basically nothing to run on.

Of course, the cost of the move wasn't small.

Looking at Bronzong, who had been viciously stabbed and then lost his ability to fight, Poipole let out a long breath of relief.

The energy in his body had already been mostly consumed.
