Thinking that, Rafayel headed down the stairs toward the reception area.
As he descended, he spotted the guest who had given him the medicine standing near the entrance.
Wanting to at least offer a quick thank-you before the guest left, Rafayel approached him and spoke.
"Um… Thank you for yesterday. The medicine worked really well. My lower back doesn't hurt at all anymore."
"Ah… um!"
The guest suddenly raised his voice, as if caught off guard.
"Yes?" Rafayel responded, confused.
The man leaned in slightly and asked in a hushed voice, "Did anyone… come into your room last night?"
What?! What should I do? Should I say something about that strange dog? But… that seems pointless. He probably won't get it.
Rafayel hesitated, unsure how to answer. But then the guest leaned in further and asked more urgently, "What about a dog? did a dog come in?"
How does he know!? Rafayel thought, stunned. Eventually, he replied, "Yes… a dog did come in."
